Iris started to get off her bed.
"Whoa, where do you think you're going?" Fred asked.
"What happened?" Iris inquired, wincing when she felt the pain in her head.
"You got hit in the head with a blundger."
"That explains the headache. How long have I been out?"
"Almost a month."
"I have to get out of here." She said, trying to get up. She let out a gasp as a sharp pain shot through her head.
"Take it easy."
"I feel like I need a CAT scan."
"A What?"
"Nothing."
There was a long silence.
"I'm sorry." Fred said.
"For what?" She inquired confused.
"I-it was my bludger that hit you. I wasn't aiming for you." He confessed.
"Fred I don't want you blaming yourself."
"But, it's my fault."
"Please stop. I'm fine, never been better."
"You were in a coma for close to a month. You're not fine."
"That's for me to decide." Madam Pomfrey said, finally coming over.
"I'll be outside." Fred said standing up.
"Fred."
Fred turned around.
"Yes?"
"Did we win?"
"Yes." He replied. He then left.
"You know he's been here every day since the accident."
"He has?"
"Had to get George to drag him out a few times."
After Madam Pomfrey examined her she settled back against the pillows on her bed. She had to spend a few more days before she could leave and when she was finally released Iris wanted to find Lupin, but her teammates had other plans. When she entered the Great Hall a cheer went up from the Gryffindor along with the Ravenclaw and Hufflepuff.
"You scared us Evans." Oliver said when she sat down at the table.
"You can't get rid of me that easily." She stated.
"Good to see you're ok." Cedric Diggory, the Hufflepuff seeker said. Iris just gave him a smile and turned back to her friend Katie.
"So what did I miss?" She asked.
"Well we beat Ravenclaw and we're playing Slytherin next week." Katie replied. Iris just nodded as she took a bite out of a biscuit.
After supper she made her way to Lupin's office.
"Professor Lupin." She said. Her father's friend turned to her.
"Miss Evans. It's good to see you're alright." He said.
"Can I talk to you about something important?"
"Is everything alright?"
"I thought it was, but then I found out my dad has been lying to me for the past sixteen years." She said hesitantly. She then looked around before closing the door to the room.
"What on earth are you talking about?"
"I didn't know who to talk to about this." She said with a sigh. She took a deep breath then continued
"This is going to sound crazy. I mean everyone thinks he's dead, but it all adds up."
"Iris."
"My last name isn't Evans, it's Potter. James Potter is my father."
