No cap? Writing this chapter kinda stressed me out cause I was writing about a panic attack. But that's just how it be sometimes.

Anyway, favorite place you've ever been too?

Mine's gotta be Yellowstone National Park in Wyoming. That place is SO PRETTY

Nerves singing, Izuku itched for control. Everything felt off-kilter; it was almost as though he was walking on the ceiling, watching everything unfold from the wrong perspective.

Izuku placed his pen to paper and let his hand guide his mind. He focused on the objects in his immediate vicinity, grounding himself in the moment. He lightly sketched the clock on the wall. Then the pencils on his desk, and even the dirty plates piled near the sink.

Calm, control, calm, control, calm, control.

Despite the mantra in his head, and the pen in his hand, Izuku couldn't help but reflect on the tension building behind his eyes.

The League of Villains had been quiet for weeks. Recently, his other half had been lying low as well, until going out yesterday and waving a book full of confessions before a licensed hero, practically begging him to lock them up.

Izuku had been presented with an opportunity to take the journal back... But when Shoto Todoroki had stood in front of him, offering his hand, a look of pure ignorance coloring his cheeks, he couldn't help but feel guilty. There were perfectly good, hard working people out there who longed to do nothing more than help others, and all he could do was wreak havoc. Izuku found himself desperately wanting to know the boy before him, red and white hair billowing in the breeze, but, because of his association to the League, and the betrayal of his family, he felt he didn't deserve to know such an amazing person. He was a failure in the eyes of society, and that meant he had no right to friendship. He was too much of a coward to do the right thing, and turn himself in, so he'd ran. Shoto Todoroki was the hero; he could decide Izuku's fate, because he couldn't do it himself. After reading his notebook, whatever Shoto chose to do, Izuku would bow his head in subservience, and suffer the consequences of his unforgivable actions.

Mind a thousand miles away, Izuku hadn't realized he was no longer sketching his desk side lamp, but instead a strong profile of a boy with two toned hair and distinct eye colors, until a complete rendering of Shoto Todoroki stared back at him. Stunned, Izuku set his utensil down and wandered into the kitchen to splash water on his face.

He needed to focus on the issue at hand. Something was wrong, and chaos was coming.

Izuku had never really made an effort to stop his other half; the task seemed futile. That, and he'd always been too fearful of being caught. But, now that Shoto Todoroki had his notebook, Izuku had a fire under his ass. Attempting to stop his other half might enlarge the flames, but at this point, there was no use trying to put them out. He'd be caught or killed either way.

For a while now, he'd known what he needed to do. He just needed Shoto Todoroki to give him a firm push in the right direction.

No longer fearful of being discovered, Izuku knew that he had to figure out what his other half was up to before it was too late, and countless lives were lost.

The cold water burned his skin, but didn't erase the after image of a tall silhouette against a blood-orange sky stapled to the backs of Izuku's eyelids. His hair had looked so soft...

Izuku had talked to Shoto for a total of 5 seconds before running away, crying. Was that even long enough to remember someone's eye color? Warm silver and stunning sky blue. Someone's scent? Smokey amber and vanilla blossoms.

Izuku felt as though he had known Shoto before seeing him. Sure, he had seen some of the UA sports festival on tv, and practically drooled when he saw Shoto for the first time, but it was deeper than that. Izuku was certain he had already made some sort of connection with Todoroki. Their meeting had felt like a touching reunion of long lost friends, not an awkward exchange of first impressions.

Could his feelings be stemming from something his other half experienced? Izuku felt unprecedentedly jealous of his villainous twin; if anyone deserved a friend, it was him, right?

No; that was a selfish thought.

Izuku shook his head, hard. He had to clear this thick fog from his mind. He never had selfish thoughts... Ever.

He formed a plan.

He would do his best to spy on his other half, and monitor the situation with the League. Once/if he learned anything incriminating or disconcerting, he would seek out the icy-hot hero, Shoto.

He tried to ignore his excitement at the idea of seeing Shoto again.

Shoto had access to a lot of hero agencies, and especially had the ear of his father, and could convince everyone that Izuku's intel was good. That, of course, depended solely on the hope that Shoto had actually read his journal, and could possibly find the space in his heart of hearts to trust Izuku.

If all of the former went to plan, then, after everything died down, Izuku would let Shoto take him into custody.

He might end up living out his next few years behind bars, but it would be worth it if he could help save people's lives. After all, he had always longed to be a hero.

Maybe now was his chance? Maybe it wasn't too late to make a difference, and take a stand?
