Chapter 21:
Without Him

It has been two weeks after that second day of marawi under siege and now the fight was still on going but the civilians were safely evacuated out of the scene.

Ceaseless days filled with love to start with, Digong didn't say anything to his beloved and just doing what they do everytime their together to make it up to Leni--particularly she always took the last appointment to the president everyday unlike before.

"Ma'am gising ka na pala," he said once he saw Leni already dressed for office.

Leni just smiled and leaned towards him with a seductive look on her face while bitting her lip for a bit, "Bakit may problema ba, Mr. President?" she asked as her lips purse.

"Tumigil ka nga ma'am baka hindi ka na maka-opisina kapag ginising mo uli si ano," he threatened her as he laughs on seeing his beloved sexily looking at his eyes.

She bursted into laughter once he took the bait, her action was a mere prank on him... "Tumigil ka sir, ayoko magiging presidente--buti pa na ako nalang ang maging first lady." she whispered into his ear.

He didn't even think off his actions as he cupped her cheeks and pull her over with a passionate deep kiss. She can't help but to moan with pleasure and lust as the kiss travel through her neck and nibbling on her skin made her feel weak because of that feeling.

You're only mine

"Ahh--sir tama na, ma-lelate na ako" a statement spoked in between of her moans, an orchestra playing mellifluous sounds to his ears.

He stopped for a while as he sets his gaze to her eyes which made him lost in a trance for the second time, "Let's cancel all our appointments for today ma'am, gusto lang kitang nakasama..." He gasped which made her heart race fast and arouse their senses and desires.

He was just waiting for the approval of hers before continuing but so to say, she declined the offer,"Seryoso Digong, ayaw ko maging presidente kaya tama na...naka-ilan ka na ha--buti nga nakakalakad pa ako ng maayos," she complained like a child whilst her previous aura was definitely changed into a new one but she was continuously blushing.

"Sige na nga ma'am, panalo ka na, pero gusto mo buhatin kita pababa?" he offered while fixing his clothes.

Once Leni heard it, she felt butterflies once again making her to giggle all of a sudden, "Tumigil ka Rodrigo, ang tuhod mo po lolo," she jested while poking the bulging stomach of his.

"Matanda at mataba man ako ma'am pero gusto mo pa naman," he confidently said without hesitation.

"Grabe sir, bumabagyo napakalakas ng hanging pati na nga ang pagiging assuming..." She refuted with a jesting tone making even herself to laugh.

"Ma'am maski ganito ako, love mo pa rin ako," he responded.

She just stopped talking and kissed him on the lips subtly before saying her goodbyes, "Punta na ako sir sa trabaho, see you."

He had just waves his hand to see the vehicle of the vice president from moving away to bahay pangarap.

I'm sorry Leni, our wedding can't be done this year but I promise you'll be Mrs. Duterte on the year 2018.

"Mukhang ganda ng gising natin mayor," Bong joked once he saw such radiant smile coming from the president's face with a light aura.

Digong listened carefully to what his colleague had just said, "Alam ko ang iniisip mo gagi, huwag mo akong sisimulan..." He refuted defending himself even there wasn't an argument.

Bong just nodded while laughing at the president who acted so seriously despite his tease, "Sir, alam naman namin na si sparrow laging last appointment mo sa gabi tapos una sa umaga," he jester again.

Kung pwede lang sana na siya nalang lagi ang appointment ko...

"Bong gusto mo pauwiin kita sa Davao, para kahit papano maging tahimik ang opisina ko!" he exclaimed while glaring at Bong straightforwardly.

Bong silenced himself for a while, not to piss of his boss because he thought that his teases went over broad this time..." Mayor, sorry na...pinatatanong nga pala kung makaka-attend ka ng ceremony sa independence day." He informed him.

"Hindi ko sigurado Bong, huwag ka na munang sumagot sa kanila para iwas kulit na rin..." Digong answered him and went back to work.

Days before the independence day, the plans were already done from the very last detail after all this was an important event ever since that can't be surely missed or so we thought...

"Late na naman si pangulo," Leni said to herself while still on her car since the ceremony wasn't starting yet.

A PSG from the outside had knocked to her window and stated, "Ma'am magsisimula na po,"

"Baka hindi na naman nakapunta yun, hayst..." She complained all of a sudden as she went off her car and walked with the gentlemen beside him to start off.

She was accompanied by her PSGs on the sidelines with the military forces on behind, Joseph Estrada and Allan Peter Cayetano beside.

"Good afternoon madame vice president," Estrada had greeted her, minimally benting his head as a sign of respect.

She was hesitant to see him doing like that so she shakes her hand aggressively meaning to please stop you're embarrassing me. She had just smiled back and said,"Good afternoon din po,"

Like what they always do, doing a snappy salute in front of the ever majestic Philippine Flag that freely glides with the gentle blowing wind, a sign of freedom of our beloved country.

Once it was done, all of them dispersed and head back to each respective places but something caught Leni's eyes from afar, "Was it the president?" she asked herself in awestruck.

"Ano ma'am?" her lady PSG queried since she heard what her boss had said.

"Ah wala, akala ko nakita ko si presiden--" Leni defended calmly but unable to finish making abashed by what she just did and can't help to blush after remembering her love.

A man had brought a simple bouquet with the colors of the flag and was given to her saying," Ma'am padala po para sa iyo,"

"Ganoon ba, thank you..." She said her gratitude whilst receiving the flowers.

She saw a note as her eyes widened seeing the signature of the president on it, she didn't waited any second to open it and read.

My vice president,

Sorry if I wasn't able to attend the supposed celebration of our independence day with you, mahina na talaga ang kalabaw na 'to ngayon pa inabutan ng sakit. I know and I believe you that you can pull it together alone because you are strong and one of a kind leader.

    Happy independence day, my love.

Your president,
Rodrigo
