I fluttered my eyes open to see the sunlight shinning through the curtain across the bedroom. Only this wasn't my bedroom. It was his.

My head was on top of his bare chest with our legs tangled between each other. I slightly tilted my head up to see him still asleep. His angel like expression made me smile. So calm.

Laying with him like this made me forget about the rest of the world,  all the drama. If this wasn't peace, I didn't care because this was enough. Harry's breathing was slow yet with a rhythm that only he could manage to make it adorable.

My fingers slowly reached up to his cheek and stroked the five o'clock shadow he had. Harry was usually always shaved yet the stubble had been there for the past two days. I had grown to like it on him, it suited him perfectly.

As Harry slowly moved his head a little, I quickly drew my hand back hoping that I didn't wake him up. His breathing pattern changed which only meant that he could have been awake by now. I moved my head down and closed my eyes.

" why did you stop?" he asked. I could sense a small smile on his lips as he said those words.

" I didn't want to wake you" I said embarrassed keeping my eyes shut.

" too late for that" he responded.

Even though I could sense the humor behind his response I couldn't help but feel it like an attack. I knew the way Harry was to me while he was still dating Lia. I didn't want that Harry anymore.

" sorry" I whispered as I began pushing away from him. I only opened my eyes when I was turned away from him. My feet touched down on the cold wooden floor.

The peaceful state that I was once in before was gone. It was now replaced with stress. Stress over Harry and our whole complicated relationship.

" where are you going?" Harry asked as his fingers wrapped around my wrist.

My eyes slowly made their way down to his hand.

" It's better if I leave now, I don't want to get into a fight.. like.." I shook my head.

" like we used to...?" he managed to finish my sentence.

I nodded too afraid to speak what was on my mind. My eyes met his and to my surprise, his face held a small smile. The way his green eyes sparkled along with the sun shinning

" we shouldn't push things" I said.

" so we're back to old times then?" he asked with a hint of a smirk behind his expression.

" except this time you're not cheating on Lia" I said before I could catch myself.

Harry's expression changed immediately. It went from soft to hard, like his emotional wall had built all over again.

" sorry" I whispered. I looked away from him and picked myself off the bed. I quickly put my clothes back on and couldn't help but feel like he was watching me.

Why did I always have to ruin things? Harry was fine and nice. But of course I had to say something stupid and his wall was right back up again. I glanced over at him and saw him out of his bed. Harry was buttoning up his jeans still shirt less. He reached down to the floor and grabbed his sweatshirt off the ground. He looked at it briefly and then looked over at me. His eyes met mine and he took a couple steps closer to me.

" here" Harry said as he handed me the sweatshirt. The exact same sweatshirt that I had worn last night.

" thanks" I said not being able to not cracked a smile. When his hand reached up to me, his thumbs stroked my cheeks. I couldn't help but blush and look down at my feet.
