DESCRIPTION

Grace Pym thought that the worst thing to ever happen to her in her life would be losing her parents in the car accident that almost killed her, too. She thought that having to adjust to living not only without her parents, but with her uncle, Hank Pym, who was her new guardian and still trying to recover from the loss of his wife a year and a half earlier, and her cousin, Hope, who was away at boarding school for most of the year.

After she graduates from college, Hank shows her a secret that he'd been working on for a long time. He tells her about his history as Ant-Man and the suit he calls Bumblebee, that is similar to his own. It's for her, he tells her, and training starts now, if she wants it. And she does, she wants it more than anything and can't wait to get started.

Years later, after Hank gets booted out of his own company by his own daughter and even more time passes after that, Hope comes back to them with terrible news. Darren Cross, the new person in charge of Pym Tech., is getting too close to discovering the secret of Ant-Man and the dangers that come with it. They have to stop him from figuring it out and an integral part of their plan is ex-criminal and ex-burglar Scott Lang.

ADDITIONAL NOTES:

› I won't be offended if you want to change and clean up the summary

› so, Grace Pym is the daughter of James "Jimmy" Pym and Sarah Pym (nee Taylor). Jimmy is Hank's younger brother and didn't have the genius of his brother, but was still successful in his own life

› Jimmy, Sarah and Grace are in a car accident, a pretty bad one. This car accident ends up killing Jimmy and Sarah and almost killing Grace. Sarah is pronounced dead on arrival when she gets to the hospital and Jimmy dies in surgery. Grace manages to pull through.

› Sarah was an only child and both her parents had died by the time of the accident, so Hank (as Jimmy's brother) is the only family that Grace has left. Hank is also Jimmy's emergency contact so when the family gets brought to the hospital, he is called

› so Hank becomes Grace's legal guardian

› Grace also is older than Hope, but you can decide by how much. I tried to look it up to figure out by they never gave Scott's birthday so you can decide their age difference as well and then how much older she is than Hope, too

› obviously, as stated in the summary, the accident and Grace going to live with Hank all happens after Janet's death. It also falls at a time in the year where Hope has already been sent off to boarding school for the year

› Hank never sends Grace off to boarding school like he does with Hope which doesn't help their relationship and also means that Hank and Grace end up with a pretty good relationship

› it's after she graduates from college that Hank shows and gives her the Bumblebee suit and they start training

› they're still training when Hope gets Hank booted out of Pym Tech.

› after this, they take a kind of pause because this made Hank feel pretty awful so Grace works on making him feel better. She does keep up with training outside of the suit, like working out and all of that so she's still in shape when they start again

› the next big thing would be when Hope comes to them about Darren Cross

› and this is when Hank realizes that even though he has Grace who has training in the Bumblebee suit, she's not disposable and he wants to put her in danger about as much as he wants to put Hope in danger

› which is none

› no danger

› he'd never really thought about Grace actually being in danger and now that he's actually confronted with it, he finds that he can't actually lose her, too. Lose either of them.

› hence why they still need Scott

› Hope still sabotages him, gets him arrested and Hank gets him out

› whereas Hope is very cold towards Scott because she doesn't think they need him, Grace is not

› she goes along with most of whatever Hank wants so if Hanks wants to use Scott, she may not understand it, but she'll go along with it

› and, of course, there is still some ice between Hope and Grace

› around the time that Hope and Hank have their blowout fight about Janet, Grace and Hank have one as well

› this is when she learns that not only was her suit originally meant for Hope, but that Hank let her use it because she wasn't Hope and therefore was more disposable to him

› and also when Hank tells her that she's not and never was disposable to him, which is why they're using Scott. He'd never actually thought there'd be a situation she would ever be in danger

› which doesn't entirely placate her as she always thought that the end goal, what they were training for was her fighting crime, ie., her being in danger

- the three of them all make up

› Grace convinces Hank to let her in on the mission with Scott, which he does, so the heist goes the same except with the inclusion of Grace

› so it's Scott + Grace vs. Yellowjacket

› I would think they'd be together by the end of the first movie, but if you want to stretch it out and have them not be, you can do that

› she can be included in Civil War if you want and she'd be Team Cap with Scott or she can not be involved and then go on the run with Hank and Hope

› then she would be involved with Ant-Man and the Wasp, of course

› at the end of this, I imagine that she would either dust with Janet, Hank and Hope or get stuck with Scott, having gone with him into the Quantum Realm or to get the particles, whatever they were doing

› if she dusts, she would come back with the others and participate in the final battle, having a reunion with Scott on the battlefield

› if not, she would pop out with Scott and it would be the two of them going to the monument, Cassie and then to Avengers Compound, then through the Time Heist (she'd stay with Scott) and the final battle where the two of them would reunite with Hope on the battlefield when she shows up

› and in terms of actual plot stuff, that's all I got for you! We don't really have any after-Endgame stuff so you can go crazy with these two. Any other relationship details you want to add or whatever, you can, with Scott it's a lot less rigid with what you can do with him.

› and, of course, if you need any help, I'm always here.
