Maybe things would be turning around for me.  I had made a new friend, and it seemed like Aizawa and I had reached some sort of understanding.  I'm pretty sure he still didn't trust me, but he seemed to realize that I wouldn't be doing anything too bad any time soon.  We fell into a kind of rhythm.  As long as I didn't lock the doors or barge in on him when he was napping, we could pretty much avoid each other without any troubles.  He even bought food for me.  Granted, it was just chinese delivery from the cheapest place near us, but the gesture was still nice.

I was ready bright and early the next morning, straightening out my uniform in the mirror, when Aizawa burst through the door to wake me up again.  I grinned at him, and he rolled his eyes, turning back around and walking out.  Still, I'm pretty sure I saw him smile just a little bit before he left.  I smirked and bounced out of the room, effortlessly catching the apple that Aizawa threw at me as I hopped over to join him at the front door.  Aizawa just shook his head and silently walked out the door.

As we made our way to UA, walking the exact same path as yesterday, I took the moment to survey my surroundings, biting happily into my breakfast apple. I was determined to make today a good day.  No matter what it took, I would come out of today feeling good about... myself.....

Oh no...

I stopped in my tracks, my happy and determined mood very quickly dissolving as I stared at the commotion in front of us.  News reporters were gathered in a clump around the entrance of the hero school, pushing and shoving one another to try and get an interview.  My heart was hammering in my chest as I watched with wide eyes the large group of men and women, my face growing rather pale.  How could I have forgotten?  I was so blinded by my resolution to have a good day that I had completely forgotten one of the biggest events of the entire series.  How could I have possibly been that stupid?

"Everything alright?" Aizawa stood a few feet ahead of me, his brow furrowed and a small frown tracing his face.

"U-uh, yeah," I shook my head and caught up to him, quickly coming up with an excuse.  "Sorry, it's just... I'm not a big fan of smaller spaces, and those reporters don't exactly look super friendly..." I trailed off, flushing a bit at the lame excuse.  Aizawa just shrugged and cut through the crowd like butter.  I blinked and rushed to follow him but was quickly cut off by the crowd.

"Excuse me!  As one of All Might's students, can you tell us what he's like as a teacher?!"

"What subject does All Might teach?!"

"Tell us what it's like being the student of one of the most famous heroes in the world!"

I squeaked and receded into myself, hugging my arms to my chest as the reporters shoved me back and forth like a tennis ball, clambering for an answer to their questions.  "Um, excuse me..." I muttered feebly, my head down and my hair falling in a curtain over my face in an attempt to hide myself from the vultures. If they managed to find out my story, they would sink their teeth into it in an instant and end up making me even more of a pariah than I already was. I tried taking another step forward or even a step back, but I was immediately shoved back into place, causing me to let out another soft, somewhat pitiful squeak.  Suddenly, a hand wrapped around my forearm and dragged me through the crowd like it was nothing.  I looked up in shock to see Bakugou standing in front of me.  "Um... thank you."

Bakugou clicked his tongue and rolled his eyes.  "Whatever, you damn extra," he muttered.  "You probably would've been helpless without me anyways."

I stifled my laughter and nodded.  "Yeah, you're probably right," I hummed.  "I guess extras like us have to stick together, huh?"

Bakugou's red eyes widened in anger.  "Who the hell are you calling an extra?!" He screamed.

I laughed fully now, unable to help myself.  "I'm sorry, Bakugou, it's just... if even someone like me is an extra, then you surely have to be one too, right?" I shrugged with a slight grin and continued walking towards the front doors.
