Getting closer

Today began not so well it was raining and it just wasn't it. I check my phone today and I actually had 3 missed calls from Mikey and one voice message I open my phone and listen to it. "Imani I'm sorry we didn't work but don't ignore me forever" end of voice message. I roll my eyes and get ready. My outfit:

I grab everything and head to class. As I'm walking I see my buddy. "Hey pink hat" I slightly yell. "Hey" he says back waiting for me to catch up to him. I give him a hug and embrace his essence. "Hey do you have a girlfriend? " I ask with confidence. He paused looks at me straight in the eyes and says "Why?" I just shrug. "I mean your cute and nice and you know all that other stuff" I say. "I don't have one I would like one but all the females here aren't what I'm looking for" he responded. After about 2 minutes of silence we keep walking and we both get To our classes. Our teacher didn't even have anything for us to do so we just chilled honestly I was texting kahlil the whole time until Mikey comes up to me and decides to wanna talk. "Look Imani I'm sorry" Mikey says tryna hold me hand. "Mikey we are done okay I loved you but you apparently needed to think about things and you thinking changed everything you literally left with no explanation" I say. I got a message from kahlil and I laughed. "Who's that?" Mikey asked confused slightly frustrated. "His name is kahlil"I say. He just says oh and walks away I continue to text kahlil until class is over.

Kahlil's P.O.V
I was texting Imani and she a really sweet girl until someone decides to snatch my phone. "Who?" I look up and Mikey this random ass freshman. "What do you want?" I ask. "I want you to stop texting Imani" he said sternly. "Calm down my guy we only friends" I say grabbing my phone back. "Mhm whatever" he leaves.

Imani's P.O.V
I was on my way to meet kahlil and we was gonna do sum studying together back at my place it take us about 15 minutes to get to my room and get settled with everything. "So your ex came up to me today" kahlil says playing with his pencil. "He did ? What happened?" I ask "he just wants me to stop texting you but I told him we was only friends" he replied back. "Oh" I was quickly pulled into thoughts
He better not do anything to kahlil ,he didn't nothing he is so innocent  the point is he ain't do nun and Mikey and I aren't together.
"IMANI" "huh?" "Your phone is going off" I pick my phone up to see thousands of people @ me in this video I quickly open and see it of Mikey and Naomi basically making out. I close my phone. "You okay?" Kahlil asked me grabbing my hand. "Let's take a picture" I say somewhat ignoring what I just saw. "What but why?" He asked "just come on" I pull him into the bathroom and take a pictures like this:

After the pictures I posted them on all of my social media accounts and everything even my spam. I was not finna let him ruin my day. We went back to studying and got lots of homework done. It was like 8pm and he had to leave. "Well mani looks like I gotta go" he said checking his phone. "Mani ? Nickname" I say somewhat confused. " yeah I mean your nickname for me is pink hat so I needed a nickname for you" he says while smiling. We both laugh and he gets his stuff together and I walk him to the door. " well I'll see you later?" "Yep" I give him a hug and he gives me a kiss on the forehead and leaves.
"Soooo whos mister hot boy?" Jas asked me entering the room right after he walked off. "His name is kahlil he's really low-key I like him he's cool" I say back. " mhm lowkey your boyfriend" she while taking off her shoes. I have her the girl bye look and took a shower and got in bed. "We only friends Jasmine" I say. I get a text from kahlil

"Girl I see that light over there tell Kahlil you got stuff to do tmrw and go to bed" Jas says like a mom. "Girl goodnight" I say while laughing and then my lights out.
