Chapter 16

"Why didn't you tell us ahead of time, Ri?" tanong ni Rhys habang kakagaling ng shower.

Natawa naman ako dahil sa reaksyon niya. Imagine the face of being betrayed by a friend.

"Edi hindi na magiging surprise kung sinabi ko agad?" natatawang sabi ko habang nag papalambing naman itong isang 'to.

Nakaupo kaming dalawa sa mahabang sofa dito sa unit nila pero dikit na dikit si Keith sa akin. Nakapulipot pa ang kamay sa bewang ko habang nakapatong ang ulo niya sa aking balikat.

"We felt so betrayed, Ririiii!" si Rocco naman na parang hindi pa rin nag si-sink in ang sinabi ko sa kanila kanina.

Natawa lang naman si Keith at Rex sa dalawa. Both of them accepted the fact that I'm not their manager anymore. Keith knew I was struggle to manage my time with my studies and with the band while Rex knew my condition.

Keith fell asleep while he's snuggling at me while the other boys are just watching a movie while laying down in front us.

They moved their foam out of their room tapos dito nila balak matulog sa sala.

Rhys and Rocco fell asleep, leaving me and Rex awake while watching this damn horror movie he picked.

"You're doing the right thing, Lei." he said, sounded like my brother.

"You, Manuel and Jorge want this and besides hindi ko na kaya ipagsabayan ang banda at ang school. I'm graduating next year." sabi ko sa kanya habang hinahagod ang buhok ni Keith.

"They deserve to—"

Rex stopped talking when Keith murmured something that we didn't understand.

We chuckled because of that and Keith buried his face in my neck.

"He really is concerned of you, Ri." Rex said as he is watching the movie while I can't focus on what we're watching!

"He is always asking us if we noticed your bags under your eyes or your tired face if you're with us. You know, things like that." he said as he shrugged his shoulder.

"I can't just let you guys down." I said in a whisper, low enough for Rex to hear.

"I'm with you since day one. This is Keith's dream and I want to help you grow much more as a singer or as an artist. I want to help you guys to reach the top."

"We're helping ourselves here, Eleina. Now, help yourself too." he said as he turned off the television.

"Don't destroy yourself for his dreams. Don't you have dreams for yourself too?" he asked and that made me question myself.

Well, I wanted to become a flight attendant since I took Tourism as my course but for my condition right now, I think it's impossible to reach that dream.

But for him? For Keith? He can achieve his dreams and I can help him. I can help them reach the top.

I woke up around two in the morning when I smelled the familiar scent invade my nose and my body felt the soft bed in my skin.

I slowly opened my eyes and I saw Keith smiling while looking at me.

"I woke up because I felt a heavy thing resting in my head," he joked.

"Alam mo nakakabwisit ka talaga." sabi ko sa kanya.

I moved a bit to the side so he can have much space but when he lie down beside me, he opened his arms, telling me to sleep really close to him so I moved towards him as I buried myself into him.

"Tomorrow's our day off, what should we do?" he asked.

"Tomorrow? Baka mamaya?" I murmured as I tried to go back to sleep.
