"Anong mamamanhikan? Sabog ka, Jorge?" natatawa kong sabi sa kanya at siya natawa rin.

"Kidding," he said he cleared his throat. "We're going to talk about your treatment about your hearing." he said as he tried to look at me while driving.

"Eyes on the road, dude." I said as I giggled.

"It'll only take a few months since you're case is mild and not moderately severe." he explained to me.

"Then, we shouldn't worry to much, right?"

He scoffed and said, "Shouldn't worry too much? Your ears are bleeding. Your body is telling you to stop whatever you're doing that can affect your hearing but you're not listening to your own body."

"Right. I almost forgot you're a Doctor pala. Kamusta na yung pinabayaan mong mga pasyente?" I joked.

"Hindi kita pabayaan, kung napapansin mo." he said seriously and that made my mouth shut.

Nakakabwisit naman. Nagbibiro lang naman ako ah. Bakit kailangan niyang totohanin?

We're still on the road on our way to our house when my phone vibrated. I got a text from Keith.

From Keith:

Where are you? I saw a post with you together with your friend.

I rolled my eyes. That happened, literally fifteen minutes ago. Nasa social media agad? Ang bilis nga naman ng chismiss, oo.

To Keith:

Yes. I'm with him. Manuel invited him without me knowing it. Sorry.

That's the only thing I typed. Ayaw kong mag explain pa. Naiinis pa rin ako dahil sa nalaman kong plano nila pag natapos ang kontrata nila sa amin.

Agad namang nakareply si Keith at papasok na kami sa aming subdivision.

From Keith:

What's with the article of him being your boyfriend, Lei? I wasn't informed that he's your boyfriend and not me.

"God, what a headache!" reklamo ko at padabog kong binagsak ang phone ko sa bag ko.

"Dude, chill. Anong nangyari sayo?" natatawang sabi ni Jorge sa akin.

"Apparently, the photos of us a while ago is already in social media. Akalain mo yun? Lumitaw agad."

"Wow. Reporters now a days are doing great with their jobs." puri niya naman.

"Huh?"

"Nevermind that. Bakit ka nagagalit dyan?" tanong niya nang lumiko na kami sa aming street.

"Keith saw it and told me that he's not informed that you're my boyfriend and not him."

He parked the car outside our house before he laughed like a crazy man. Natuwa pa talaga siya ha.

"So, you're saying that he's threatened huh. Thank you for saying that, Cadence!" he said as we both stepped out of his car.

"Oh bakit tuwang-tuwa ka?" tanong ni Manuel sa kanya dahil tawang-tawa pa rin siya sa nalaman niya.

Hindi ko na sila hinintay dahil mag-uusap lang sila at pagtatawanan ako. Nauna na akong pumasok at hinanap si Mommy. She's at the kitchen, baking something.

"Riri, anak!" Mom called me na para bang ilang linggo kaming hindi nagkita.

She hugged me tight and I kissed her cheek.

"Mau, baby! Oh! Jorge too. Come here. I baked a cake." she announced as she looked at the oven.

"Anong meron, Ma? Bakit may cake?" Manuel asked her as the three of us sat down at the high chair. I just placed my bag and phone at the countertop.
