why must i need validation?

well, i do know why, but like,,, why is it still so ingrained to my head that i need it,,,

i wasn't validated as a child with mental/emotional needs. parents only cared about my grades and providing for my basic physical needs.

ik i'm loved and cared for, but i always need to be reminded of it before i get anxious and insecure.
