Ruby is abused by her drunk father and yang live with uncle qrow oblivious to the abuse Ruby is given. And Weiss is little miss perfect y'know Strait hair Strait A's And she's strait forward. So this is one of my personal favorites

Childhood friend au! So Ruby and Weiss were childhood friend but Ruby moved away leaving Weiss alone. Ten years later Ruby came back after her mother passed. She reconnected with Weiss and found herself falling for her friend.

Orphan au!!!! After Ruby's parents died in a plane crash she was sent to the beacon orphanage with her sister. There she met Weiss, Blake, jaune, phyrra, Ren and Nora (yes they're all orphans) she developed a crush on Weiss that only grew as she made it to highschool.
