I should stop thinking about him. his single gesture wouldn't make any difference. He is a beast. He has killed my family and I have to get back to my remaining family. This was the last day. I cannot leave without telling Ashley. She will be worried if I disappear. I went to her room and decided to say good-bye for one last time to her . she was a good friend. She helped me a lot in learning chores and got my back. It's the least I can do
" Hey Ashley " I said with a smile
" Someone's look happy today " she replied with a smile too.
" I've to tell you something " I said
" I'm listening. Go on " she added cheerfully
" I'm leaving " her expression went from happy to shocked.
" I don't think that's a good idea. There is security everywhere. This is not safe " she said with slight fear. What a great friend I have
" No I'm not going out from the gates . There is secret passage in laundry. It leads towards the forest. " I said almost whispering.
" No Laila what if you get caught. You don't know how alpha punishes " she said panicking
" No need to worry Ashley. I'd be long gone when he come to know. I cant live here. I've to go and find my brother. Good bye Ashley. You were good to me " I said and hugged her in the end. She didn't reply me anything. its strange
" I should go now " I said and was about to head out when she called me
" When will you leave ? " she asked
" before dawn " I said with confidence and left her room with a smile.
I came back to my room. Took out a small bag which was already in my cupboard. I hurriedly went towards kitchen and grabbed bread. I don't know for how long I'd be out there. I shoved the bread in my bag and my saving too , came back to my room and lied down. Tomorrow will be different
I didn't sleep , just rested. I got out from bed it was almost one hour in dawn. I grabbed my bag and headed towards the laundry room. In that room , I changed into that dress which I separated out. Opened up the passage, grabbed the candle for some light , looked at my surroundings
' Now or never ' with that thought I descended from the stairs and headed towards the forest. It was still slight darkness. I could here chipping of birds. This is it , I'm near to my freedom. I saw the end of the tunnel. A smile came on my lips. I made a run towards the opening. When I was about to come out , I closed my eyes to absorb this moment perfect. I breathed the fresh air with my eyes closed.
' This is it . I did it ' my thought was interrupted by some strange noises , heard a sound of horse and broken twig .When I opened my eyes ,my world drifted into despair . I didn't want to believe it . I knew that this is the end.
