"You honestly can't stand there and try telling me that I put my job over our kids when your just as busy as me" Henry stated
"did I say or imply that. No, I didn't and I know how hectic my work schedule is." I tell him
We stand there and fight some more before going silent when the kids walk in from school
"Hey, guys how was school?" I asked as I greet them all both with kisses and hugs.
"It was good we have a two-week vacation," they say
" Alright, well I have a great idea on how to spend that. and I am sure daddy won't care" I tell them
They look at me all excited
"How bout we head to our lake house and spend two weeks there, we can go boating, fishing, hiking, swimming," I said
"Yes please," they said
"I don't see why not," Henry says
"Good, I will get everything situated while you two go to your rooms and put your school supplies away.
We all went shopping getting all the food and everything we would need for the two weeks.
I called my boss tell them that I was taking my two week mini vacation that I earned. While Henry did the same with his boss.
After we had everything packed and ready to go we headed off to our lake house.
~~~~ We had arrived two days ago and before anything else had happened I had Zelda and Embry sit in the living room and I apologized for putting my work before them I made a promise that after this vacation I would spend more time with them.
after I said my apology Henry said his and we got our vacation underway.
We packed up a picnic and loaded the boat up and headed out to have lunch on the water.

After we had lunch we made sure the kids had on their proper swimming gear then had fun in the water.
Henry would pick them up and toss them making them squeal and giggle in delight. Poor Kal just laid on the boat and watched us after he swam for a bit.
When we docked and headed inside Henry took care of getting everything put away while I got Zelda and Embry cleaned up and ready for bed.

The night before we were to head back home Henry and I had talked about how we were gonna work our scheduling to make sure we had plenty of time for Zelda and Embry.
"Half the time I will be gone to a location to film so I won't be able to make time for them," Henry confesses.
"I am sure they will understand those circumstances," I assured him
We apologized to each other for the fight that we had before we left home and came here.
We talked about our differences and how this vacation was much needed in order to prove that family comes first and that our kids won't be last to our jobs.
