Baby's first bath (Henry)

Being first-time parents to a small baby girl Henry and I were nervous about somethings one of them was her first bath at home.

I mean yea we listened to the nurse as she explained how to do it and we listened to our moms when they told us.

But when it came time to actually doing it we got nervous.

"I dont want to drop her little head and it hit the baby tub rim," Henry tells me

"Wait I got an idea," I tell him then disappear into our bedroom strip out of my clothes slip on bikin bottoms, and walked back into the bathroom.

I will fill the tub up lay her on my chest and you bath her that way. so you won't drop her head and harm her. I will be holding her in my arms" I explained as I proceeded to fill the tub with warm water.

Once it was full enough I slipped in, laid back and Henry handed her to me and I carefully laid her on my chest and talked to her.

"Esme is getting her first bath at home," I tell her in a soft voice as Henry takes some of the warm water and pours it on her back.

She hums a little and cuddles more into my chest laying right on my breast listening to my heart as well as her daddy and I talk to her as he baths her.

After she is cleaned up, dried off, and dressed I dry off and breastfeed her getting her to sleep.

"That is a much safer way to bathe her until we fell as we can bath her in her little tub," I tell Henry

"It soothes our nerves much better" he replied

After I had laid Esme in her little crib I joined Henry in our room where Kal was laying by Henry's side.

"I am very glad that you thought of you, holding her as I bathe her casue had we bathed her in her little tub then I would have been a nervous wreck and definitely would have dropped her," he says

I climbed into bed and cuddled up to Henry

"You and I both know that just holding Esme it triggers your protectiveness in you and you would do everything you could to keep her, from her. But I do understand what you mean casue I am the same and felt the same way as you do and had" I assured him.

"We will eventually bathe her in her little tub but for both our sanity lets not rush it," he says 

"Agree" I replied.

Nothing more after that gets said.
