Being an army captain and facing death in the face so many times and coming out a winner while your brothers at arms are dying and losing limbs is something Dominic is.
But when it comes to our little Evelyn, this man is timid.
His military training has not prepped him for a baby so he is clueless as to what to do.
And he treats her as if she is a ticking bomb that is about to blow if handled the wrong way.
Never had I thought something or someone could scare Sy but our little girl does.

"How am I gonna do this, so she doesn't get harmed, I had never done anything of the sorts like this" Sy says
I stand there with Evelyn in my arms bouncing her to soothe her after she got sick from overfilling her belly and started to fuss.
"Hey Captain, mind telling me what your trying to figure out maybe I can help?" I ask
Dominic stops and looks at me before he walks closer.
"She needs to bathe, and it's gonna be her first one with me being home and I don't know how to do it without freaking out. I mean I am an army captain I have seen and handled worse things than a dirty baby. But she is mine and I am timid when it comes to doing things with her" he confess.
I look at him and see a scared and nervous man that is clueless on what to do cause his training is what he replyed on in many situations yet this is something he never trained for.
"You remember when you had to help me bathe after spraining my ankle and I couldn't stand on it so you got in the tub with me and bathed me?" I ask
"I do but this is so different, you're my wife she is our baby girl" he states.
"What I am getting at is. you can do the same thing with Evelyn as you did with me," I tell him
"Bathe with her?" he questions
I nod my head
"wouldn't that be weird or disturbing?" he ask
"Hunny there are so many single dads that have no woman figure in their life. and they have to bathe their daughter. So now it's not weird or disturbing. Its what parents do" I replied
He looks at me then Evelyn who calmed down and just looked at her daddy.
He looks back up at me.
"Tell me What do to, how to do it, and do not leave my side," he says
"Yes, sir Captin" I replied and mock salute him before I hand Evelyn to him.
"hold her while I get what all is needed ready then I will tell you what all to do," I tell him.

Once I had set everything up and given Syverson directions on how to go about bathing Evelyn without hurting her. He took charge and done as I instructed him to do.
Evelyn just watched her daddy as he talked to her in a soft tone while he did every instruction I told him to do.
When it got to her hair he was being extra cautious making sure no soap gets in her eyes.
And like he asked or basically ordered I stood there right by his side and watched.
