I watched as Geralt's and my eighteen-year-old daughter paced the livingroom floorboards as she thought of how she would tell her dad that she has a date with his favorite bard.
"Sage, come sit down before you put holes in the floorboards," I tell her
"Sorry momma I am just nervous and not sure what the tell daddy," she says
"I have known your daddy for a very long time since his witcher trials had ended. So I know how to read him and how to deal with him." I tell her
"I know you do momma I just dont want Jaskier attacked like daddy has done so many times" she replied.
"baby daddy considers Jaskeir his friend even if he doesn't show it he respects him enough that he cares about him. So he may be upset or angry but I won't let anything ruin your first date ok" I tell her
She gives me a hug and thanks me right as Geralt walks in the house.
"Hello loves how are you" he greets and right behind him is Jaskier.
"We are doing fine baby, how were yours and Jaskiers hunt?" I asked as I stand up and get greeted with a kiss and a simple wave.
"We killed tons of monsters and earn quite a lot of coin" Jaskier replies
Geralt looks back at him before looking at me.
"After we killed the monster we left to hunt plenty more was there that was needed to me killed as well and I got like big mouth told you quite a lot of coin" Geralt replies
"That is good, glad to hear it" I replied
"Hi, baby how are you?" Geralt asks as he looks at Sage
"I am good daddy, but you and I need to talk. and I ask you to have an open mind to what I will say and what is gonna happen" she tells him
"Do I need to kill a human?" he questions and about grabs his sword when I grab his hand and pull it down and hold it.
"No daddy you won't need to kill anyone and I hope you won't hurt this person," she says
He looks to me and I say nothing so he looks back to her.
"Alright what is it you wanna talk about?" he questioned
"Well daddy I have a date tonight," she says
"A what?" he asks
"Daddy I have a date, with a very nice man" she replies
"Do I happen to know him?"
Without words, she nods her head.
"rather well?"
Again Sage nods her head.
"Is it Jaskier?"
"How did you know?"
"Well he asked my permission while on the hunt and I came close to ending his life but I knew that if I had you'd been upset with me and I wouldn't be able to deal with that. So after I did as I had when I first met him and he welcomed his self on my hunting journey we talked and I gave him rules. I also noticed how it's been a very long time since he has bedded a lady at the inns. So since I talked with him and set rules with him I will allow you to go on a date" Geralt's says
Sage is shocked and a little upset but that is quickly gone when Geralt gives her the ok.
"Thank you so much, daddy," she says then walks off to get ready while I look at Geralt and Jaskier.
"So a punch to the gut was your first reply huh?" I asked
"Yea and it hurt just like the first time. but Sage is worth it" Jaskier replies
"Try anything and I will rid this world of a bard. trust me" Geralt says
"Ger you have to trust me. I won't harm your daughter, I respect you and your wife too much for that" Jaskier tells him.
Geralt went to say something but stops and looks towards Sage who walked out looking beautiful.
"Awe, my baby is grown up," I say as I look at her and get teary-eyed
"Momma" she whines
"I can't help it," I say
She shakes her head smiling and walks over to Geralt kissing his cheeks then moves over to JASkeir.
"momma said that we can use her house and the buggy to head out for our date," Sage tells Jaskier
With that said the two head out after waving bye to Geralt and me.
