I attended towards the food, the other bowl was filled with gravy soup.
Nonetheless, I enjoyed it well. I then decided to look around the room, it was fascinating. Everywhere small or big things were kept neatly and I could see there were some things I couldn't name.
"I wonder how his father would react seeing me."
'Sighs'
"I wonder how I am going to meet my parents" I mumbled out while pacing around.
Time flew, I would lie on the bed, get up, roam around aimlessly
"by the way, I wonder where he is. Why is he not coming ?" I questioned to myself. Just then a knock interrupted my thoughts.
"Come in" I declared making me sit on the bed acting calm.
"oh it's you" I confirmed
"yes, you were expecting someone else? " he teased marching towards me
"No, I mean it's your own room so"
"But you were in" he stated and chuckled
that's when I thought "ah this man is far more soft and cuter than that rude shadow" and I gave a demure smile.
He came closer to me and said, "let's get you ready it's almost time" I looked up with a confused look, he could read my face I suppose,
"For our wedding" he asserted.
I just pursed my lips breathed in and objected
"I - I actually.. Is there any option or anything I could do to cancel this wedding" I paused for a brief moment
"you know I'm not ready for this really. We don't even know each other well, above that I don't see any feelings dwelling between us.." I continued which he just gave a weak smile caressed my head and whispered,
"Right now all we can do is get this marriage done, you don't have to like or love me because we don't need that, and I know I'm not gonna do it. But one thing I can assure is that you will be safe with me" not gonna lie, those words stung a little in my heart. I didn't know why.
For the very first time in forever I felt weak, when he hugged me, I felt powerless and thought both he and I were mere humans. But something was weirdly wrong I could not feel his heartbeat when mine hammered on my chest. It confirmed too obvious he had no feelings. I pushed him away unintentionally making him all flustered
"I'm sorry I cannot do this, I don't even know your name, I can't just marry to a stranger just like that.. I cannot do this without any feelings.. " I Remonstrated all in one breath.
This time his eyes totally changed to an angry one, with a dark expression,
"It is not only you who don't want to, even I and the pack strongly disagree. But it is an order, Sophie, a deadly order from the Alpha himself " he roared in a bit loud voice which truly startled me.
He saw my eyes already glistening with tears, he closed his eyes looked down and breathed,
"I'm sorry.. We got no choice but to do this"
