- the march -

We marched down to a hall where quite a huge number of people were seated in anticipation for the bride to appear. I took small slow steps with the bouquet of black roses which were handed to me. All seated ones rose up the very moment I stepped in, all were wearing black

"This really is a funeral" I mumbled to myself.

I walked alone the aisle which was normally supposed to be dropped by my dad. I nearly teared up but the Alpha's son, wearing all white suit unlike all of us, walked down from the platform, gave out his hand in the midway and guided me to the stage.

The people or should I say the wolves like people were all well mannered and did not even share a whisper during the whole formal event. The ceremony ended peacefully without any disturbances. I saw men with smiles and laughter plastered on thier faces but none walked up to us instead congratulated from a distance with such respect for I learnt it was a sin to even stare for long at the alpha and his family.

"So" I cleared my throat

"Jeon Jungkook is your name" I clarified and he nodded with a warm smile.

I heard it when the vows were taken or else I might have married without even knowing his name. As I looked around the crowd a realization hit my head hardly. I could see no presence of women in the hall, not a single female except for me.

"Hello, beautiful lady"

a voice snapped me out from my heavy thoughts and I looked to see the man my dad had always warned about. I without realizing tightened my grip on jungkook's arm, which was hooked with mine, and stared at the man

"Atleast smile for your father-in-law " he continued

"Father she does have the right to smile to me and not other men, she is my bride leave her alone" jungkook said

"I know she is your bride." He replied, "Though you are married my son the throne is still mine" the alpha with one raised brow said with a disgusting smile
(For there was this tradition that passed down, in the alpha's family, that when the oldest son marries at a certain age given, would be placed as the new alpha and the father would step down,yet that was not really appreciated by the alpha and he still kept the throne to himself. He was the alpha. He was his own rule maker and the destroyer)
He leaned into Jungkook's ear and whispered

"I have the power to destroy you both" but he made it audible enough for me to hear.
With that he guffawed which made me want to hit him

"Enjoy the night newly wed" he said in a nauseatingly mocking way and left the scene.

I breathed out loud, "Sophie are you okay?" Jungkook looked at me concerned and I just nodded

"He is gone now. Everything will be okay, nothing bad will happen to you" he assured
