Day 16: The answer to the Letter

Zander wasn't really a writer.. just like Luke (and me TwT..), but when it comes to impressing Luke (and homework..) he had to try. Zander learned from the expert, Hailey, his amazing step sister.

Zander really never got a chance to tell Luke the love poem Luke gave him. But, this was the day he will do something unexpected for once. For once, Zander felt like he can do anything; kind of like Jake for example. It wasn't his likelihood, but what happened after yesterday made scary butterflies under Zander's stomach and he wasn't being able to handle that sort of feeling.

So, he was gonna answer Luke's love poem.

Zander went to his desk, his sister drinking some grape juice and a peanut butter sandwich (aka: Lander meal XD), Zander was thinking what could he write.

Zander fiddled with his pen. What to write.. What to write...He thought to himself. His brain couldn't think, but, he was brainstorming strongly.

He looked at the love poem Luke gave him:

To Zander,

You're my Jelly,

I'm your peanut butter

It brings out my eyes

I love the days and seasons when you smile

I hope you realize that we are meant to shine

Zander, I love you,

Will You Please Be Mine?

How did Luke write so well?.. Zander thought to himself.

Hailey took a bite of her Lander meal. "Having writers block?"

Zander looked at his sister bewilderedly. He didn't seem to well anymore. "Yes.."

"Here, lemme help," Hailey went to Zander's seat and looked at the love poem Luke wrote him. Hailey made a sound of a coffee machine for a moment.

"W-What was that?"

"Sorry, Luke's love poem just looked so cute, you're so lucky to have him.." Hailey looked down, smiling hopefully. She shook her head, trying to focus. "A-Anyway.. remember what happened in episode 4 of the Music Freaks? People are waiting desperately for episode 5- I m-mean remember what happened last year? I'm waiting desperately for you to think.." Hailey chuckled.

Zander looked at the love poem again and took a deep breath, and closed his eyes. "I think I know what to write.."

Hailey's eyes beamed. "Great!"

Zander took his pen and wrote:

To my loving Butter,

Your the leaves in my tree
The sun in my sky

Dancing with you and playing with you makes me satisfyed

Ever since we were seeds, I loved you from that day

I promise to love you every step of the way

I love you, Luke, you are my best

My answer to your love poem is:
Yes...

Love Zander..♡

Hailey looked at the poem and almost fell slowly. "It's beautiful!"

Zander looked at the poem and hopefully Luke loves it. Zander carfully put it on a love envelope. He was screaming in his head, but felt a boil on his stomach at the same time.

Hailey noticed and put a hand on Zander's shoulder. "Don't worry, Zander. We all know Stacy won't definitely be Luke's love interest in episode 5- I-I mean.. Luke'll love the love poem. I promise.."

Zander gave a hopeful smile. "You sure?"

"Well.. people give giving theories and it might be Drew or Ja- I mean.. yes. He will. I promise."

Zander pulled Hailey to a friendly, neighborhood hug.

Luke breathed in the cool air breeze in the park. Waiting for his loved one.

"Hey, Luke."

The voice immediately got Luke's attention. He opened his eyes to see a purple haired boy coming across him. Luke's face brightened, but felt a rather cold feeling in his cheek.

"Hey, Zander. What did you want to show me?" Luke asked, he stood up to Zander's level. The peanut butter is taller than a grape jelly. Zander looked up and him and immediately froze.

"I-It's u-uh.." Zander's face reddened. Luke was wearing his scraf and his usual jacket wear, and the same tanned plants, but for some reason, Zander couldn't seem to control his feeling. Just like last year when he got a autumn leaf stuck on his hair.

Zander looked down. "I-I'm- It's not..y-you might.."

Luke chuckled and placed a hand on Zander's shoulder. "Whatever it is, I'll love it. Show me.."

Zander sighed and took out the love envelope. "H-Here.."

Luke smiled and opened the love letter carefully and read it.

After he read the love note, he looked at Zander, thoughtfully. Zander was purposely looking down, looking red, but blue at the same time.

"Zander.. you didn't even need to give me this. I already know how much you mean to me, and I already know you would find the love note some way or another," Luke chuckled at the last part of his sentence. "And I will never fall for Stacy in episode 5- I- I mean- I will never stop loving you.."

Zander looked up at Luke and immediately hugged him. "Why do you have to be so adorable..?"

"I don't know.. Rosy made me- I mean.. I-I'm just like this," Luke chuckled.

And in the end, they had their fun.
