FRAGILE AFFAIRS

I don't know why this guy pass out out today but when the announcer was declaring the winner I rushed to the race track and found a passed out Wang Yibo. I left Elizabeth to take care of the winning money and took him to the hospital. His father and elder brother was there too. Though I didn't know who they were until we reached the hospital and his elder brother bothered to talk to me.

I don't get the point of this family either way. Yibo's elder brother, I guess his name is HaiKuan, came to me to talk about what happened in the race that Yibo had that accident.

In my opinion, accidents aren't really rare in races. What's making me think was Yibo never had this kind of accident. I need to talk to him.

Right now I am sitting in front of Yibo's bed thinking hard about what to do. Zoey and the others already went back home. And they took A-Yang with them. Well that's because I insisted. A-Yang might look like a strong guy to everyone but he's really soft and he cares for everyone. When he confessed to me I didn't even know I'd be with this guy for this long. But look at us going strong for two years now. And get jealous maybe. Just don't look at him, he's mine.

Yibo's father and his brother is talking to the doctor and I was fully intentionally listening in, when Yibo started stirring. When Yibo woke up adjusting his eyes to the light of the room I got him some water. He looks a bit lost too.

"Where am I?"

"In the hospital. You passed out in the track." I helped him sip on the water and sit up a bit more comfortably.

"Yibo, you're awake." HaiKuan ge came into the room to find him awake and behind him came in Mr. Wang.

"Now, can you tell me what happened there?" HaiKuan ge inquired Yibo.

"I don't know. The track felt a bit slippery today."

What? How can the track be slippery? No one said anything about it. Well I couldn't go on the track today because A-Yang wouldn't let me. Or else I would have known exactly what happened. Don't tell me it's He Peng's doing.

"Wait, I don't think it's the track. I think it's your bike." I inform Yibo while texting Elizabeth to find out.

Mr. Wang was looking at his son with an expressionless face. Now I see where Yibo got that face from. I've never known Yibo's family before. Even though we all know who Yibo is and heard about his family but we don't see them. Yibo kinda has two lives around him. One with his friends, which is us and the other is with his family, in the middle of all aristocracy and all that. Even I call myself Yibo's best friend, I don't get it. What's all the drama about!

And we can guess that his family doesn't approve of his friends.

After Mr. Wang left his older brother was still here talking to him.

"Kuan-ge, this is my friend, Wang HaoXuan." I bow when Yibo introduces me to his brother. HaiKuan ge looks like a nice person. But he doesn't look like he likes me as Yibo's friend. But whatever, why do I care. I only care about Yibo. If he wants me as his friend I'm his friend. Anyone approve or not.

Yibo just laid on the bed while talking to his brother when I leave them be to go outside to get some fresh air. He'll be discharged today anyway, I don't have to bother much. The hospital is one of the best known hospital in Beijing. I know this because one of my father's friend is in the managing board in here. Seeing how wild I am you might think that my family probably isn't that great. Well I tell you, how great they are. My family is a loving and caring family.

My dad works as the managing director at the Jiang Corporation, my mom works as a Physics teacher in Beijing Central High School. I have an older brother and an older sister. My older brother, Wang TianJin is an English professor, and my sister Wang Qing is an architect, married to another architect, Shen JingHao, with a two years old son Shen Jian. All in all this family of mine is really close-knit. They love and care for each other. They let me be who I want to be. They even love A-Yang. What more do you want from a family right?

Right when I was going around a corner I met my brother's friend Cao Yu Chen, who works here as an orthopedic surgeon. He looked like involved in a phone conversation with someone. I smile and give him a little bow as greeting and move from there.

All my concerns coming back to why would Yibo think the track was slippery today. The track really was slippery Andrew would have felt it too. And I just talked to him after the race. When I was lost in thoughts about this my phone ringtone startled me. It was Elizabeth.

"Hey, Elizabeth. Is the process done?"

"Yes, HaoXuan ge, it's all done. How is Yibo ge?"

"He's fine now. He just had a mild concussion. He woke up a little while ago."

"Oh! I found something."

I remain silent as I know what Elizabeth wants to talk about. I myself asked her to look into it. When I didn't say anything she continues.

"We worked on Tracey, and she's good as new. But there was extra lubricant oil used on it. Someone saw a helper of another player around Tracey before the race."

"He Peng?"

"No. Wang YiXuan."

Wait! What? How's that possible? Wang YiXuan? But he won't do that would be? I know some of the racers. But all of them are fair players. They won't try to sabotage others to gain upper hand on a race. That's just not how they work. I probably was silent for quite a while. Elizabeth speaks over the phone.

"HaoXuan ge, are you still there?"

"Huh? Yes. Well you keep looking and keep me informed. I'll talk to you later." And I disconnect the call.

I start to go back to Yibo's room. I think my job is done here. As his brother is here, I guess I don't have to send him home. I'll just say goodbye and leave. But as I was just near the door I heard HaiKuan ge shout.

"Don't talk about Zanjin ever again. I don't want you to talk about him." And he comes out of the room and leave in a rush.

There goes Yibo's ride home!

I guess I have to send him home after all.

I just posted the next chapter... I don't know how racing works, so I used some of my imaginary assumptions into it... Please forgive me..

Also HaiKuan ge really loves Yibo. He just doesn't want to talk about Zanjin, that's all... Don't get him wrong please...
