"THEY ARE SO FREAKING TALENTED" skylar smiled as she watched madison and jadah film their dance in the hallway for 'i got the music' from on top of the second floor of the school
"oh for sure" charlie agrees
"i always wanted to be in a musical" she admits with a smile
"you would've killed it if you were casted in this show" charlie admits in complete honesty
"sometimes, i hate myself for giving up on my singing career" she sighs as she looks towards the floor
"then why don't you do something about it?" charlie questions. skylar giving him a confused look. "start writing songs again, why don't you talk with the music producers of jatp? maybe they could help you pick back up your career" he suggests
"what if i'm not good enough?" skylar shrugs. that was the problem with skylar. she never believed she was good enough to be the star she always dreamed to be
"sky, i wish you could hear from my perspective just how talented you are. if you're really telling the truth about how much talent i have? trust me, when i say that you have 10 times that talent. plus, i'm pretty sure kenny 100% planned to have you write this song with me because he knows just how talented you are" charlie says with a encouraging smile
skylar couldn't describe what she was feeling as she took in charlie's words. she's heard parts of them from booboo, her sister, her mother, and kenny. but she never really bothered to listen, but with charlie saying them, it was different. and for once in her life she finally believe the words

meanwhile, charlie stayed back to finish his last scene in the 'boys/julie's mom studio' location with kenny, jeremy, owen, and madison. skylar went over to craft services, took a seat at one of the tables. her notebook in hand, her mind kept repeating the words charlie told her. lyrics started coming to her
she sung lowly. what she didn't know was that charlie was standing behind her as he heard her
"you're a star, people just don't know it yet" she whispered as repeats charlie's words from the other day. "you're a star, people just don't know it yet" she repeats again
"you mean just like you" charlie's voice startled her as he took a seat in front of her. "i feel your rhythm in my heart, yeah. you are my brightest, burning star, woah- woah" he sung the newest lyrics he wrote
skylar perked her eyebrows with a grin. "when did y—
"remember the day when we sang your favorite song together?" he questioned. she nodded. "well, it kept replaying in my mind" he sighs "sky, your voice is genuinely beautiful and i-i don't know you just remind me of a star, even if you don't see it. but i'll keep reminding you until i see you on a stage shining brighter than ever before"
