Chapter 18: Shadow

You were taking a little nap.
Wanting to see Shadow.

You opened your eyes to see the familiar Ruby red eyes looking back.

"Hi Shadow" You greeted him.

He sat down next to you.

You've been talking for a while, he was still reserved to say the least.

But all these small encounters with him, made your strange bond with him stronger.

"So, still not telling me where you are, hmm?" You asked leaning back on your hands.

"Like I said many times before, there's nothing you can do"
You both giggled a little.

"Still I don't know, why do you even want to know? " He looked up at you.

"I just really wanna meet you Shadow. You're nice a-and I like you"
You mumbled the last part.

"Hmm? What did you say?" He asked.

"I-i said I want to help you"

He smiled.

"Although I appreciate that, I don't think I'll be out of here any time soon".

He shook his head from side to side.

"Woah you okay?"

"Yeah I just... I feel weird"

You noticed that Shadow was starting to look a bit transparent?

"Shadow... You're disappearing".

"Huh? I guess someone found me and is now waking me up" He examined his hand.

"This is how you looked, each time you disappeared like this"
Suddenly you hugged Shadow.

"See you soon then".

"Heh, see you" And with that he disappeared completely.

You woke up.
It was dark outside.

You must've taken a really long nap.

You turned in your bed to face the window.

You sighed softly, looking up at the moon.

"See you soon Shadow" You whispered.

You were watching the news at Amy's apartment.

You lived with her in Station Square while the Thorndyke mansion was getting repaired.

Amy had a small television.
You were both listening to it and drinking tea.

"And now, a breaking news story. I'm standing in the main pavilion of the National Museum of Art, where earlier tonight, a thief broke through security and stole a priceless Chaos emerald. Authorities found these images on tapes confiscated from the museum's security cameras"
