Chaper 31: Desperately seeking Sonic

You were with Shadow in the dream realm.

Shadow was looking at the ring bracelet you had on your wrist.
"I used to have two of them" he held his own wrist.

"Yeah you did" you smiled.

"What did they do? " he asked.

"I'm not sure, you never told me"

"Why do you wear it?"

You smiled and caressed his cheek. "Because it reminds me of you"

You woke up suddenly with the alarm screaming like crazy.

The light that was labeled "the bridge" flashed.

Trouble at the bridge. Great.
Just want you needed to start this day.

You ran quickly to the bridge.

You quickly ran to your seat and looked at the radar.

"Two large objects straight ahead, approaching really fast."

"Materex" Sonic growled.

"It looks like they just stole that planet egg" Cosmo looked at them sadly.

"We can't let those two Materex get away. We're gonna fight them to save that planet egg" Tails commanded.

"Roger!" Everyone replied.

One of the Materex flew right at us.

"Fire the laser cannons" The laser bounced right off of the Materex.

"It's trying to pull our wings off. We have to do something before it's too late"

"We'll stop it. Move the Sonic power canon" Tails ordered.

"We're loading it now" Knuckles said through the comm.

"Sonic, enter the power cannon and get ready for launch".
Sonic did just that.

"Sonic power cannon fire!" Tails shouted.

The cannon fired.
And the Materex exploded.

Well one of them at least.

"Looks like we knocked out the Materex. The big one is out of commission and the planet egg is going back where it belongs" Tails smiled.

"Thanks to Sonic" Cosmo rejoiced.

"Yeah, he was incredible" Cream and Cheese cheered.

"He's a real knockout" Amy said, laughing at her own joke.

"Wait a second, why isn't he coming back to the ship?" You questioned.

You looked at Tails.
He gulped.

"What's wrong" Knuckles's voice sounds ded through the comm.
