Clara Wheeler was not a socialite, much less popular even at the young age of twelve (and a half).
Her mom, the definition of a soccer mom and her dad agreeing with anything her mom said, Clara found it hard to be anything but a anti social preteen with a max of three friends, all of whom probably disliked her.
The one who did, however, was not like any of her brothers other idiotic, desperate friends.
Will Byers made an effort with Clara. He would sneak up into her bedroom and sit and talk with her, he would sit by her in the classes they shared when he wasn't hovering near her twin. Will Byers was the definition of a good boy, as she was the good girl in a town of both misfits and misunderstood.
When he goes missing, Clara is without a doubt willing to set aside her budding annoyance with her brother and his friends to find him. But, she finds that there is something more sinister in the town of Hawkins, and Clara is not going to rest until she uncovers what not only happened to her friend, but what is threatening her and her town.
