"Damn it, Clara be quiet!"

Mike Wheeler flinched when his twin sister accidentally banged her bicycle into the gate of their fence, resulting in barking a curse at her.

"You be quiet, Mike," Clara bit back, hopping onto her bike.

Both sibling abruptly stopped as they heard a small crash and then a curse, only to come face to face with none other than Steve Harrington himself.

"Oh for gods sake," Clara swore, rolling her eyes as he stared at the two, holding onto Nancy's windowsill.

"Use protection, Stevie bud," was all Clara had to say as her and her twin peddled off.

Eventually, they met up with Lucas and Dustin who were uncharacteristically quiet the entire bike ride to Mirkwood.

Clara sighed, staring at the blocked off path through the woods.

"This is it, guys."

Dustin groaned, putting his hands into the air, "feel that guys? I think we should go back."

"No!" Mike immediately shot down, shaking his head.

"Just- just stay close. All of you," he looked at Clara who had already made it past the red blocking sign.

The four kids made their way into the woods, Dustin and Mike on either end with Lucas and Clara in the middle.

"You good, Clarie?" Lucas asked her after awhile, the girl pulling her hood further over her face.

"Yes, Sinclair. All good."

It wasn't long after that the light drizzle turned into a downpour, and Clara was left in just her sweatshirt and dark jeans.

"Will!" she yelled into the darkness, eyes burning from the droplets of rain that ran down her face. She was glad no one could see the inkling of frustrated
tears mixed in.

"Byers!" Lucas shouted, everyone else echoing with their own form of shouts and pleads.

"Guys, I think we should turn back," Dustin gulped, stopping in his tracks. Clara sighed, rubbing a soaked sleeve down her face.

"Stop being a sissy, Dustin!" Mike shouted over the downpour and echo of thunder.

"Did you even think Will went missing because he ran into something bad?" Dustin asked, voice serious and loud.
