It was dark

It was dark. Everything was black. She didn't know where she was, but she wasn't safe. She could hear footsteps, coming closer and closer, the heals of the shoes clacking against the floor, it was a familiar echo, it was now that she realised she was in Hogwarts.

The broom cupboard that she was hid in was now becoming clearer, it was familiar. She had hid in here with Sirius once as well as the rest of the boys another time.

The footsteps were coming closer. She was running out of time.

Time. Einstein said that time is relative, it can vary for different observers depending on your speed through space. The dividing line between past, present, and future is an illusion. So, reality is ultimately timeless. Elladora didn't think that was true, she was running out of time, she could feel it.

She didn't know what waited for her when time ran out, or she did, but she couldn't remember. All she knew right now was that the footsteps had stopped right outside of the broom cupboard, a shadow from the torchlight outside was peeking into the cupboard.

Elladora stumbled backwards as quietly as she could, but that didn't seem to be enough, her back hit the wall just as the door was kicked open.

The shadow that stood in front of her now was unmistakable, her mother. Cassiopeia Hargreaves was in Hogwarts and was staring down at her. So she ran, Elladora turned and ran across the broom cupboard, which had now gotten bigger, a light at the end of the tunnel.

It seemed so close yet so far, but she kept running, her cloak billowing back in the wind that formed as she sprinted towards the light. The heals behind her were also running, sparks flew past her. Sparks from a wand.

Four shadows appeared at the end of the tunnel, which somehow kept getting longer and longer as she ran. They were yelling for her, telling her to run, to hurry up. But as the tunnel kept getting longer, they got further and further away. "Remus!" She screamed as the face of one of them became clear.

Her eyes glanced back to the woman, who had her wand held high, spitting lightning from it as Elladora dodged it and ran with everything she had. The tunnel stopped moving and everything was still, the boys were now frozen in place, her mother was stood still with her wand still held high in the air. Her own footsteps slowed whilst she looked slowly around. She hated it.

Time had frozen.

"We're waiting." A voice whispered and as though the stone tile beneath her had just vanished, she fell.

A scream didn't come out of her lips as she stayed as still as possible, squeezing her eyes shut. But she never stopped falling, no choice but to scream as one ripped from her lips.
