I looked up to see a tall, red deer demon with a Cheshire grin standing beside me. I felt the blood drain from my face as I realized I was looking at none other than the Radio Demon himself.

"Alastor," I muttered under my breath.

He gave me a little bow, "At your service, my dear."

"I'm sorry," I tried to give him a nonchalant smile, gesturing towards where Vinnie had waddled off, "I'm waiting on a friend."

Alastor's grin widened as if I had told a joke before leaning in and whispering in my ear, "You may want to rethink leaving with your friend."

I wondered what the hell he knew. Pulling back, I tried to look unbothered by what he had just told me, "Thank you for your concern, but I have everything under control."

Alastor opened his mouth to say something, but before he could, Vinnie's fat little form appeared, "This shmuck bothering you, dollface?"

Now I had to hide my surprise, did Vinnie really not know who Alastor was, or was he just dumb enough not to care?

"Not at all," I said like a dimwit, getting up to follow him. As we left, I could feel Alastor's eyes following me out the door.
