Following my day with the Cullens I went back to Seattle to pack a bag and then back again to Forks. It was all a big hassle, but things were made easier by my speed. I was excited to meet the Denali Coven as the only vampires I knew were the Cullens. More importantly, I was excited to learn more about my abilities.

I didn't know much about the Denalis, just that they were considered our cousins because of our similar diets and that they were quite old. Eleazar and Carmen are close in age with Carlisle, but Tanya, Kate, and Irina were much older. The three "sisters" were turned sometime in the 1000s, it was amazing to think about all that they've lived through. Eleazar and Carmen were turned in the 1700s, which was still significantly older than any of the Cullens, excluding Carlisle. The only other detail I knew about the Denalis were Tanya, Kate, and Irina's activities as Succubi. In fact, they were the originators of the Succubus legend.

We would be running since it would be long drive over 40 hours, so I had to pack all my essentials into a backpack that would be easy to run with. All I really needed were a couple changes of clothes since I didn't want to be in the same outfit the entire time, and a toothbrush. But, of course with me being a paranoid over-packer I tried to fit as much as I could into my backpack in case of any emergencies. Before anyone judges me, what if we go hunting and I ruin my clothes? Or what if I trip and fall into mud or something? I was known for overpacking, throwing in more clothes than I would probably need (especially considering my newfound abilities would probably prohibit me from being clumsy) and things to keep me entertained like my phone and its charger.

Currently, I was waiting for Carlisle to return home from work so that we could all leave together. There was still about an hour before he would get back to the house. I was upstairs in my designated room while the others were with their mates or in Edward and Esme's cases, alone as well. In fact, Edward had just returned from Bella's house. He went to say goodbye before our short trip. I swear, he was whipped. He can't go too long without being with her. I mean I guess they were still in the honeymoon phase of their relationship, so I'll let them enjoy it.

A soft knock at my open door drew me out of my thoughts. I sat up as I had been lying on my back, staring up at the ceiling. Speak of the devil; it was Edward.

"Hey," I spoke, a small smirk on my face.

"I'm not whipped," Edward stated.

I laughed, "you so totally are, and what about boundaries, Eddy?"

The side of his mouth twitched as he entered the room, "I heard my name."

"Well, Edward dearest, it was nothing bad. In fact, it's kinda cute how enamored you are with Bella," I reassured. He sat down on the bed next to me.

"I don't know why we have a bed in this room, none of us sleep," he changed the subject

Weird, I would've thought he would be excited to talk about Bella.

"Well I like it," I responded, playing along, "I may not be able to sleep, but I can sure try."

He laughed at me, "and why exactly do you want to try?"

"I mean, I loved sleeping before, it was a way to get away from my thoughts and responsibilities, but now I can't just turn it off. Plus, it's comfy."

A part of me missed being human. Sure, being a vampire had it's perks, but I missed thinking about my future. About what job I would have and what my family would be like. How many kids I would have and who I would end up marrying. Now I was frozen in time, never aging and never moving on. Yes, I could live normally for a couple years at a time, but nothing was permanent. Eventually I would have to move on and start over; it was an endless cycle that I had to look forward to. Kind of like those bad movies where the main character was stuck in a time loop, reliving the same day over and over. Of course, no day would ever be the exact same, but it felt like it sometimes.
