I give you the Varian Protection Squad. Just missing Raps. I know he has legions of fangirls with bazookas, machine guns and army tanks (or chainsaws ;p) behind him so, yep.

"Fritzherbert!"

"Yes, CassAndra?"

"Is that my halberd?" Cassandra asked.

"Is it?" Eugene asked.

"Yes, what are you doing with it? How did you get it."

"You left it in the training grounds yesterday."

"And you didn't think it was mine?"

"I thought it," Eugene answered.

"Then why does it have-is that shaving cream?! How much if an idiot are you?!" She grabbed the front of his shirt.

"Idiot is a harsh word. I like to say-"

"Agh!"

Both of them whirled around to find Varian backing away from Croix and the man gritting his teeth as he rubbed his wrist. "You broke it, you little-"

"What the heck is going on?" Eugene and Cassandra stepped in front of Varian so that Croix could not reach him.

"You see he-"

"I don't care about what he did! I wanna know what you did!" Cassandra hissed.

"Guys, I'm fine. I'm-"

"Bruising!" Cassandra cut in as she looked at him. She gently brushed her hand across his cheek.

"Oh. I hope that heals before the wedding," he mumbled as he lightly touched his own cheek.

Cassandra turned to Croix. "It's a good thing he already got you back because if I got my hand on you first, I swear you would have been hospitalized!"

"Guys it's just a bruise-"

"Do not ever try to justify someone slapping you like that when they are given no reason!" Cassandra snapped.

"Cassie, breathe. He's not worth the sweat," Varian coaxed.

She huffed and crossed her arms. Varian sighed. "Here, how about you help me get these cakes to Monty's and we'll forget that this-"

"Forget!"

"Ok, we'll not think about this until we're calmed down and no one gets killed," Varian refrased.

"Fine, but don't think this is over!" Cassandra pointed an accusing finger at Croix as Varian began to lead her out of the room.

Eugene looked back at Croix. "You're fired."

"What?! You-"

"Are multiple statuses over you. You're fired, that's final. Varian doesn't need a tudor anymore anyways. We can manage without. I want you out of my castle by morning tops." Eugene frowned. "I suggest as soon as possible for your own good, because I will not be held responsible for CassAndra."

"So, what exactly is this place?" Cassandra asked, her anger subsiding for the time being as the carriage pulled up beside the building.

"Monty's."

"You've said that, but what exactly is-"

Varian opened the carriage door as multiple children came running out. "It's Bluehair!"

"Hi, guys!" Varian exclaimed. "How are you doing?"

One of the girls gasped. "You brought a girl! Is she your girlfriend?"

"Millie, I explained this two times already, we're getting married."

"Why haven't we met her before?" One of the other kids asked.

"Because I hadn't even... she was just busy," Varian sighed, not even knowing how to begin to explain the betrothal.

"Varian? What's this?" Cassandra stepped out of the carriage.

"These are the orphan children of the the town. You see, the people of the Dark Kingdom aren't as well off with orphan homes like Corona. I try to make a fund raiser to help them, but it hasn't really taken off yet. Today, is Anette's birthday and I promised her months ago I would be here if I could make it."

Cassandra looked at her fiancé with surprise. "Wow. That's... you never told me."

"Didn't know if you would be interested at first," Varian admitted.

"Interested? Varian these are children, this is a good thing. We have a cart full of cake, do you want to help us bring it in?" Cassandra asked.

Their eyes widened. "Yes!" They ran to the back of the wagon

"You have not been around kids, have you?"

"Not really, why?"

"None of that cake is going to make it inside," Varian chuckled.
