The couple stood on the balcony underneath the stary night sky. "Funny. I hated you a month ago."
Varian chuckled. "Don't think I will forget so soon." He elbowed her.
"It's funny how quickly things change."
"For better or worse. This time was definitely a good thing."
"Yeah," Cassandra laid her head on her husband's shoulder. "And Andrew is far, far away."
"He will never harm us again as long as I can help it," Varian wrapped an arm around her.
"I love you," she whispered.
"Love you too, m'lady." They kissed again, getting their happily ever after. But was it truly the end of the story? Something watching them gave a twisted, evil smile.
