Y/n Pov:

I was walking home from school wondering why my friend Leah wasnt in school today, I didn't get a call or text like I usually do every morning,

so I decided to go to her house which was only one street down from mine. When I got to her house there were police officers there and I was really confused until I saw her mom crying

" hi ms.jade " I said slowly walking up as she signaled for me to come as the police officers went back in there car

" what's wrong, and why wasn't Leah in school today " I asked as she brought me in and sat me on the couch

" honey I'm so sorry but her and her father were coming home yesterday night from the store and they " she got cut off by another son scaring me even more I just hugged her I didn't know what to do or think

" ms.Jade what happened to them " I said with a shakeup voice hoping that what I had in mind wasn't true

" they got into a car accident, Leah died this morning and her father is awake and recovering " she said as I stood up and stepped back

" no no no that's not true it can't be ms.Jade please tell me it's not true " I said with tears in my eyes

" I'm so sorry honey " she said getting up to hug me as I let out all my emotions

" no " was all I said before collapsing on the couch

" im sorry " I said wiping my tears as she shook her head " it's not your fault baby don't worry " she said as I nodded slowly

" if you ever need anything me and my dad will be here to help you promise " I said standing up and wiping my tears

" come with me I want you to have this " she said bringing me upstairs into leahs room

" Leah always told me if something were to happen to her to give this to you " she said handing me a beautiful necklace with the shape of a heart and engraved in the heart it said y/n and Leah

" it's beautiful " I said taking it putting on

I then got a text from my dad telling me where I was and why I wasn't home, I told ms.Jade I had to go giving her one last hug before running out the door with more tears in my eyes

Niall Pov:

I saw y/n run in the house sniffling as she ran to her room slamming the door

" y/n are you alright " I said walking up the stairs to her door

" everything's fine dad " she said as o knew it wasn't I walked in to see her face down in her pillows crying

" y/n whats the matter baby " I said picking her up and sitting her next to me as she cried harder
" she's gone dad she's gone " she said confusing me

" who's gone " I said hugging her tighter

" Leah, her and her dad got into a car accident " she said as she cried

" awe sweetheart I'm so sorry " I said not really knowing what to say as I just held her

" what am I going to do without her, we had so many plans dad " she said getting up pacing around her room

" we were gonna have the same wedding day I was going to get blue flowers and she was getting purple and we had dresses in mind and we had a house we were going to share and now I can't do ANY of it " she said dropping to the floor as I quickly grabbed her and held her

" y/n don't worry calm down your gonna make yourself sick " I said as she just thrashed around in my arms finally finding a comfortable spot

" dad what am I gonna do without her " she said as she broke my heart

" only the future will tell y/n but she's watching down on you right now and I don't think she'd want you crying, she'd want you living your life baby " I said as she wiped her tears nodding

" why her dad " she asked looking up at me

" well I don't know princess, things happen for a reason and nobody ever knows why but I promise you she'll be your guardian angel " I said as she nodded as her eyes slowly closed

" maybe you just need to sleep well talk about this later " I said as she nodded slowly falling asleep in my arms

I slowly rocked her to sleep and when she did I put her in her bed covering her up to her torso pushing her hair back wondering how to deal with this, I felt so bad for her, y/n and Leah met in kindergarten now there in high school together. But I've gotta be strong for her because if I'm strong she'll be strong because she's my girl and I know Leah wouldn't want her crying all day she'd want her to live her life like normal and Leah would definitely be watching over her, forever and always
