Mia Pov:

I was at y/n's school exit waiting for her to come out, since it was Friday I thought she'd be happily skipping out of school but instead she dragged her feet walking all the way to me.

" what's wrong y/n " i said crouching down to her level as she just leaned forward wrapping her arms around me " y/n " i said picking her up and she started sniffling. " wanna talk about it " I said as I felt her nod against my shoulder " in the car " she said as I nodded kissing her head walking to the car.

Once i got her all buckled in the car i sat in front of her on the floor " talk to me " i said as she pulled out a paper " daddy is going to be mad at me, he won't love a failure like me mommy " she said as she got herself worked up again

I looked over the paper seeing as she got a 50/100 on her test, " oh, y/n don't worry it's just a silly test i promise you daddy will still love he could never stop loving you " i said getting up to hug her as she cried in my chest

"but daddy is going to be a-angry with me i broke m-my promise" she said hiccuping as I question what her promise was.

" i promised i would do good on this test and i did horrible
m-mommy " she said throwing her head back crying more

" i promise he will forgive you, trust me your daddy loves you very much, alright, do you trust mommy " i said as she nodded and held her arms out for another hug.

" i trust you " she said sniffling as i kissed her cheek closing the door getting in the drivers seat.

The car ride home was quiet, but peaceful, within the 15 minute drive to her school from home as I pulled in the driveway checking the review mirror I saw y/n fast asleep with tear stains on her cheek.

i carried her inside and right at the door was Niall awaiting his after school hug, but when he saw her face he gave a sad smile
" what's wrong " he said as i gave him her backpack and told him to wait.

I took y/n up to her room changing her into comfortable clothes, a t-shirt and pajama shorts.

when i went back down Niall was on the couch on his phone and when he saw me walk and sit at the kitchen island he quickly followed behind

" why was my child crying, who mad her cry, who do i have to beat up " he said getting overprotective as I quietly laughed

" she's just upset over the test she had today " i said pulling out the paper as he saw the big ( 50/100 ) on it.

"She was crying afraid you'd be mad at her for breaking her promise of doing good on this test" I said as his head hung low
" she also thinks you won't love her anymore, i told her that wasn't true but i don't know she's just upset " I said as he put the test back in her bag and walked out the kitchen quietly

Niall Pov:

did she really think I wouldn't love her anymore, how could I not, it was just a silly old test, sure it might be the first or second test she's got a bad grade on it but i didn't care, so i got up off the couch and told Mia I'd be back.

I went to the store getting her favorite ice cream and snacks.
The traffic was terrible though.
When i came back home i saw y/n with Mia on the couch. I put all the stuff on the kitchen counter and went to the couch

Y/n had her head on Mia's lap as Mia played with her hair when I came around the couch i saw y/n with more tear stains on her eyes

i sat next to y/n holding my arms out for her, she slowly crawled in my lap putting her head on my shoulder, " im sorry daddy " was all she said before i shushed her and just held her, " I'm not mad at you, i promise, i could care less about the test, because guess what " i told her as she looked up at me, I wiped her tears and smiled "because there's many more test to come it's not the end of the world" i said getting up throwing her not to high in the air making her giggle as I caught her and spun her around like an air plane " and guess what, daddy's got a surprise come on " i said making airplane noises all the way to the kitchen

" MY FAVORITE ICE CREAM " she said looking through the bag pulling out the ice cream and snacks

" b-but i don't deserve it, i broke my promise daddy " she said as I kissed her cheek repeatedly, " stop it stop it daddy that tickles " she said as I smiled " it's alright, your happiness is better then a silly promise " I said as she held her arms out for a hug

" i love you daddy " she said as I smiled and looked over at Mia who was recording us as I smiled shaking my head " I love you too princess " I said as we turned to the camera making silly faces

" how about after dinner and bath time we can stay up past bedtime and eat ice cream and snacks " i said as y/n looked over to Mia
" can we please mommy " she said ecstatically " sure why not " she said as me and y/n both cheered running up to Mia having a family group hug.

It was now 12:39 and me and Mia were both tired but as for y/n she was bouncing off the walls hyper,
" this is your fault " Mia said as I smiled and laughed as y/n sang along to the movie playing

" sing it girl " i said as she turned around laughing " sing with me pleaseeee " she begged trying to get me up " alright alright " i said holding her in my arms and dancing and singing along tiredly as Mia was once again recording and laughing at me as I playfully rolled my eyes.

Mia, y/n and i ended up falling asleep all cuddled up on the couch at 1:46 in the morning finally after trying to get y/n to settle down. But tonight was fun!
