Chapter 27: Anirudh's Favour

It was a bright morning in Roy Chaudhary mansion. Binoy uncle and Somnath already left for their factory while Swabhagyawati and Bondita were busy with their kitchen chores, Batuk was busy eating his apple lying on the sofa reading his romance genre novels hid in his finance book, Trilochan Kaka was busy with his morning prayer service and Anirudh as always in his study digging into the legal papers for his case. After completing his morning prayer service Trilochan Kaka came into the hall with prasad thal to give holy offering to Batuk.

"Batuk, take this prasad!" - Trilochan Kaka

Batuk got flabbergasted as in all that mess to hide his novel from Kaka he dropped both of the books which he had in his hand. Kaka soon realized about the romance book as soon as he looked down to the fallen books.

"Batuk! You!!!! Today I won't spare you! Your exams are around the corner and you want to read this... shiv shiv shiv! Wait ANIRUDH!!" - yelled Kaka

"Kaka Kaka what are you doing if Anirudh Dada comes he will surely come to know about my books then his study won't contain any Shakespeare novels! Kaka please I beg!" - begged Batuk

"Hell NO! ANIRUDH!! WHERE ARE YOU ANIRUDH!!" - yelled Kaka

As soon as Bondita and Swabhagyawati heard Trilochan Kaka calling Anirudh they too left the kitchen to take a look at the matter while Anirudh came running from his study tieing his wrist watch.

"What happened Kaka what's the matter?" - inquired Anirudh

"Kaka Sasur Ji is everything fine?" - interrupted Bondita

Batuk gave an innocent look to Swabhagyawati while she understood about everything and got herself scared.

"First tell me Anirudh why you have to keep novels in your study? Okay fine that you keep novels but why romance genre that also of those foreign writers? Do you know such books spoil the brains of young generation. They get off course from our Indian traditions and culture." - Trilochan Kaka

"Wait Kaka! What are you talking about and which book? I study has no novels and story books rather I have books on law, science and geography not literature books." - said Anirudh

"Yes, Kaka Sasur Ji! Pati babu's study is filled with only books of law and science, there are no literature books." - uttered Bondita

"Then from where that book.." - Kaka

"Durga maa!" - yelled Swabhagyawati

"What happened Swabhagyawati?" - inquired Bondita

"Didi, KSJ ain't wearing his mojdi (type of Indian footwear)!" - Swabhagyawati

"Swabhagyawati babu, puja gharmai koi chappal lekar jata hai bhala joh ham jayengea! (Does anyone wear footwear in temple?) I must've forgotten my mojdi. BIHARI BIHARI" - called out Trilochan Kaka

By the moment Bihari could come up Swabhagyawati gestured Batuk to hide the novel as soon as he could and he successfully did it, under the sofa.

"Bahari go and bring my mojdi! I forgot it outside the house temple." - Trilochan Kaka

As soon as Trilochan Kaka could finish his words someone interrupted him.

"Can I come inside?" - asked Bhaumik babu

Everyone was surprised to see Bhaumik up there.

"Eesa kya hogaya Bhaumik babu ki aapke charan aapko Roy Chaudhary Haveli mai Le aaye? (What so happened Bhaumik babu that your footsteps brought you to Roy Chaudhary mansion?)" - inquired Trilochan Kaka angrily

"Can I at least come in first?" - asked Bhaumik babu standing up there at door step

"Arre aree andar mat aayiye! Pehle vajah bataiye yaha aaneki!" - said Trilochan Kaka confidently
