CHAPTER 7

Tumingin ako sa mga kasama kong nagpapahinga. Today is the last day of our practice kasi bukas na ang intrams. Humihingal akong inabot ang bote sa gilid para uminom. Sa nakalipas na araw halos itinuon ko na ang oras ko sa practice dahil sa papalapit na ang intrams.

It's not that hard but there are some parts that need some attention to be done. Most especially there are some projects in some subjects that need to be continued. We're also not excused in our classes.

"Rain, canteen," sabi ni Jezzel, kasama ko sa practice.

I nodded and got the jacket from the corner and enveloped it on my waist. Ganoon din naman ang ayos niya. Nagpaalam muna kami sa iba bago lumabas at tinungo ang canteen.

Hindi naman kami magkaklase lahat kaya mahirap para sa amin ang sumaglit tuwing libre ako dahil hindi naman sa lahat ng oras na libre ako ay ganoon din sila. Tuwing uwian lang talaga ang oras ng practice namin o di kaya'y tuwing pareho kaming libre ang oras lahat.

"Rain, tara na," dinig kong sigaw ni Saturday.

"Wait," sigaw ko pabalik at inayos ang mga gamit.

Gladly, we finalized the steps and choreography so that we're not gonna cramp tomorrow. When I'm done fixing my things, I left the studio.

Himala ngayon kasi pinayagan ang kambal na magpagabi kaya nilubos na nila dahil baka hindi na raw masundan pa.

"Sexy natin ah," tumawa si Tuesday at pinasadahan ako ng tingin.

I shook at that and we went to the gym. Tomorrow is the intramurals so todo practice na ang lahat ngayon. Ganoon na nga ang laging nangyayari sa kanila at gabi na sila makakauwi. We're also late going home kasi sumasabay ako kay Rainier.

When we reached the gym, like usual, the loud shrieks of the audience and the thunderous shouts welcomed my eardrums. I don't know why they're always like this.

Why are they always watching them practice when they're also gonna watch tomorrow. For me, it's more exciting watching during intramurals because they're against another basketball team.

We sat in the place where we always sit. On the back of the bleachers of the players. Like usual, some players are sitting on the bleachers while watching their team playing basketball.

They greeted us when they noticed us on their back. Well, they know me, not just me, as well as my cousins. I winced when my cousins were giggling after the greetings.

My eyes wandered around the place, looking for Zach's presence. I bit my lips when I saw him standing on the court while his hands were on his waist. That's his signature look whenever he's on the court. I smiled widely when my heart beat fast.

Nang mapunta sa kaniya ang bola ay wala ako sa sariling napangiti at sinundan siya nang ipasa niya iyon at pumunta sa ring para sa rebound. I cleared my throat and looked away when he's about to look at my side. My heart went wild.

I bit my lips and restrained myself when the audience on our side shrieked.

When the game was over, we immediately went to their side. I was on the back, sinadya ko yun, para hindi halata na masyado akong excited.

When I finally reached their side, hindi nakaligtas sa paningin ko ang pagpasada nang tingin ni Rainier sa kabuuan ko. He knows that I'm from practice, like what I usually do after class.

"Anong oras na. Nandito pa rin kayo," seryosong sabi niya at hinarap ang kambal.

"Pinayagan kami! Nagpaalam naman kami eh tsaka nandiyan ka kaya ayos lang," nakangising ani Tuesday at umismid naman siya saka inayos ang gamit.

"Gusto ka kasi naming panoorin," sabi ni Saturday kaya napataas ang kilay niya at sumulyap sa nagsalita.
