Chapter 3

I don't know why but I picture the song in the media box playing in some parts of this chapter :)

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
It has been about a week since I turned. I have stayed away from drinking blood, I really don't want to, it's disgusting. So when Eli brings me blood I pour it down the sink and say I drank it. I know this is bad for my health but I won't die, right?
I was walking down stairs with Sassy, who is no longer a puppy, trailing behind me. I was slightly light headed but shrugged it off. I grabbed the rail and continued walking down stairs.
Once I made it down stairs it felt like the room was spinning. Alex saw me stumbling and I fell into his arms.
"Grace, whats wrong?" He asked.
"I-I'm just l-l-light headed." I breathed out, trying to get the world to stop spinning.
"Elijah!" Alex yelled.
Eli was down withing seconds. He saw me laying on the floor in Alex's arms and knelt down beside me, "What's wrong baby?" he asked.
"T-the room, i-is spinning." I said. It was so weird because it was as if I was high.
"I don't know why this is happening, you have been drinking the blood I leave for you, right?" He asked sternly.
I just shook my head no, "Grace!" he yelled.
He walked to the fridge and pulled out some blood, "Here drink." he said.
I shook my head once again, "Fine then."
He bit down on the bag making two little holes. The red liquid began to slowly pour out. I cringed as it got closer.
"Grace, please." he said.
My mouth slowly opened and I could feel my fangs growing, he put the blood in my mouth. The cool, thick liquid running down my dry throat felt so good. I drank the rest and felt a lot better. But I wanted more.
I licked the blood off of the corners of my mouth and sat up on my own, "You want more, don't you?" he asked smiling.
I nodded, "Let's go." he said.
"Where?"
"You need to learn how to hunt." he said.
"No."
"Yes."
"No."
"Grace."
"Fine." I huffed.
He led me into the woods and we hid in a tree, waiting for animals to show up.
"When do we-" but he cut me off.
"Shh." he said holding a finger to my lips. He pointed to a deer right below us taking a drink out of the clear creek. I can't kill it, it looks so peaceful and innocent.
"No." I whispered.
"Just do it." He whispered back.
I whistled and the deer looked up from the creek and looked to the left then to the right and took off running away.
Eli sighed hitting his forehead with his palm.
"Grace, you need to drink."
"I don't want to kill it though." I said sweetly.
"Fine, we will go for something smaller." he said.
He got down from the tree, taking me with him. We landed on the soft grass beside the creek, "Stay here." he said before taking off.
About a minute later he showed back up with a bunny in his hands.
I made a sad face, "Here." he said wanting me to take it.
I took the bunny out of his hands and held it in front of me, my hands underneath the bunny's arms. I gave it a pitiful look. "Do it." Eli said.
My fangs grew and I positioned the bunny to where I could suck the blood from its furry neck. My mouth was around its neck ready to suck the life out of this poor creature. Right when I was about to kill it, it moved in my hands and I screamed and dropped it.
I guess everything was so intense that it scared me when it moved, breaking my thought.
Eli grabbed the bunny before it could run away, "I can't do it!" I yelled. "It moved in my hand, and the way it looked at me." When I was holding it, it looked at me with cheerful eyes and I couldn't do it to a bunny like that.
"Fine." Eli said. He wrapped his hands around the bunny's neck, and before I could protest, in one swift motion the bunny was dead.
"Elijah." I said.
"What, you said you couldn't do it while it was alive." he said holding out its limp body for me to take.
"That didn't mean I wanted you to kill it in front of me!" I yelled.
"Please drink." he said.
"No."
"Why?"
"Because that poor bunny didn't do anything to you." I grabbed the bunny out of his hands and walked to the nearest tree.
"What are you doing?" Eli asked annoyed.
"I'm burying the poor thing." I said digging a small hole with my hands in the dirt, perfect to fit the dead creature.
"Really?" he asked.
"Really, really." I said placing the bunny in the hole.
I began covering the bunny with the soft dirt until it was completely covered. I then got some wild flowers and placed then on top of the freshly covered grave just to piss Eli off even more.
"You done yet?" he asked.
"Yup." I said looking down at the flowers.
He ran away and was back in two minutes with a dead cougar. "Here, now drink." he said throwing the big creature on the grass.
"Ok." I smiled at him.
He just shook his head.
I drank the cats blood and felt a lot better.
"Can we go home now?" I asked.
"Yes." he said smiling.
I raced him home and won. I really like being a vampire, it has it's perks.
Once we got inside Sassy ran up to me and Eli and barked.
I smiled and picked her up. "Your getting fat." I laughed petting her. "Someone must be giving you extra treats." I smiled and looked at Jayson who has a guilty look on his face.
"She looked so cute, I couldn't help it." He smiled.
We all laughed and just like that it was normal again.
