Between Two Hearts

𝚈𝚘𝚞𝚛 𝚟𝚘𝚒𝚌𝚎 𝚠𝚘𝚗'𝚝 𝚋𝚎 𝚑𝚎𝚊𝚛𝚍:

You stood out on the terrace with a hot cup of coffee in your hand, you blew on the liquid that still produced steam, letting you know that it was still hot.

You heard the screen door open from afar. You knew exactly who was in your presence but you didn't care to turn around.

"Are you still going to give the silent treatment?" Stefani asked, walking up behind you.

You didn't answer her, instead you let your thoughts drown you out.

"Baby what did I do wrong?." Stefani spoke again, feeling ashamed once she was met with silence once again.

Your mind snapped into reality as Stefani said those words, allowing you to hear every word she said. "Alright, I'll leave you alone. I love you." Your girlfriend said, spinning on her heel, walking back inside.

I love you too, you answered her in your head.

Today was April 1st meaning that it was April's fools day. And you decided today that you were going to play a joke on Stefani.

Of course her sad reaction tore at your heart, but you wanted to get her back from last year when she told you that she cheated on you the night prior which wasn't very funny to you. But to her, it was hilarious. Though she didn't find it funny when you almost broke down in tears, then she stopped messing around with you.

You weren't 100% sure if Stefani would fall for your joke but she didn't seem to notice the date or even try to understand why you were acting this way.

You knew that Stefani hated when she was ignored, especially when she didn't know why so it was only a matter of time until she started to become annoyed.

You walked back inside the house after finishing your coffee. You saw Stefani sitting at the breakfast table with a long face, making you almost give in. But you couldn't. You needed to go through with this.

You placed the mug in the sink, having no emotion on your face whatsoever before spinning on your heel and walking up the steps, and into your bedroom.

You laid down on the bed for a while as you scrolled through social media. You had gotten a text from your guy best friend Spencer while you were preoccupied on your phone.

Spencer- hey babe!

You- hey, how are you girlie?

Spencer- I'm good, how about you?

You- Pretty good. How are you and your boyfriend?

Spencer- We're great actually, thank you for asking. I actually just realized it was April fools day though and I kind of want to pull a prank on him. I'm not sure what I should do tho 😭

You- Omggg 😭 I'm literally ignoring Stefani to get back at her for last year. 💀🤚

Spencer- Lmfao girl your still not over that? 😩😭 how's she taking it?

You- Hell no. I told her to mark my words when I said that I was going to get her back. And I can tell she's confused right now, but I'm waiting to see what reaction I get out of her once the day goes on 🥱

Spencer- ms girl, she might quite literally murder you. Like dead ass turn into the countess and end you.

You- LMFAO shut upppp 😭😭 don't jinx anything

Spencer- your bold-bold for playing this game with her, I could never. I feel like I'd turn the corner and she'd slit my throat and end me five minutes in 💀
