Monologue: Vivienne
Why is this so hard? I have to move on, but I can't do this. I try to pack my stuff, but it's hard. Just when I'm closing my suitcase, Austin comes walking into the room. He has tears into his eyes. 'Babe, why are you packing your stuff?' I can't bear seeing him like this! 'I gotta go back early, remember? And don't worry, there will be a cab picking me up then.' I know I sound cold hearted, but after what happened I can't be myself around him. I just have to lie! 'Baby please stay.' I ignore him, though it's so hard. 'Sorry, Aus. You won't have any trouble when I'm gone.' 'Stop that bullshit. Whatever happens, we will make it through, right? Just like the time Taylor tried to separate us.' He's hugging me, and this is the point I can't hold it back. 'Let it go Viv. Just cry for a while.'
When I stop crying, he lets go of his grip. 'By the way, what could happen? If we stay with each other no one can hurt one of us!' I get the clue. 'So, do you think it's safe to join you?' 'Trust me on this. It will be safe, I promise you. And if it's not safe around me then I'll try to keep you safe.' I feel happy. I drop my bag, and give him a kiss.
