It was Christmas! Snow was scattered across the landscape, everyone was dressed up, decorations everywhere. You smiled softly, looked around the main area for your best friend. Tokoyami and yourself were alike in some ways, your quirk an example. Though instead of his dark and brooding personality, you were cheerful and bubbly!

Bright Light, your quirk, flew ahead of you and clapped, her brightness glowing. She giggled and cheered. "Dark Shadow!!!" She called out, delighted to see her friend. Tokoyami walked over, Dark Shadow also erupting from his abdomen to greet you both-mainly Bright Light.

Tokoyami sighed. "Dark Shadow, please," he sighed out, a bit embarrassed. Dark Shadow and Bright Light danced around each other, chatting happily amongst themselves.

You giggled and hopped over to Tokoyami, smiling brightly. Even the boy was dressed up for Christmas, his Santa hat on his head. Your own Santa hat was on your head too.

"Isn't this wonderful, Toko?" You brightened. You inched closer, which was a bad habit you had. "It's Christmas! Everyone's so happy! Can't you feel the excitement?" You wiggled around, almost unable to contain yourself from the excitement.

Tokoyami nervously leaned back, avoiding your gaze. He didn't want to accidentally kiss you... not now anyway.

"Yes," he said calmly, a small bead of nervous sweat dripping from the side of his head. "Very. I must say that I am very grateful for you, {Y/N}."

"Oh?" You tilted your head and leaned back. "How so?" You glanced over to the two quirks, the both of them having a rather more enjoyable conversation by the looks of it.

"For meeting you on the first day," he said calmly. You looked back at him, humming. "On the first day you showed nothing but kindness and determination I can't help but admire," he smiled a little. "I'm quite thankful to have you as my friend."

You giggled a little and nodded. "Of course, Toko! I wouldn't have wanted any other outcome!" You hugged him without much of a warning. He was used to these though. He hugged back, patting your shoulder before you both pulled away.

"Oh! Tokoyami! {L/N}!" The two of you looked over to the sound of the broccoli hair-colored boy. He smiled at you two nervously before holding out a small box. "If you wouldn't mind, Momo made mistletoes! Do you think you could help us put them up?"

You and Bright Light eagerly agreed, while Tokoyami agreed more calmly. Izuku was overjoyed to hear that, and gave you both a single box to put up. There weren't very many, though enough to place over many of the open doorways.

You took one and studied for a moment. "Momo made them so beautifully!" You couldn't help but exclaim. "There's even bits of glitter in there, too!" You giggled as you reached up to place the mistletoe over the door frame. Bright Light took it from you and put it in place.

"Yes," Tokoyami said calmly. "It is rather the sight." He have Dark Shadow his mistletoe and the quirk easily placed it over another doorway.

You looked over to Tokoyami, a smile still plastered on your face. Tokoyami was looking into the box of remaining mistletoes, laying no mind to you. Though, he knew you were looking at him.

You couldn't help but stop what you were doing just to study him. His feathered hair got a bit ruffled the long you stared. You found it adorable, the feathers looking softer and a soft blush on his feathered cheeks. He seemed to be trying to play it cool though.

You walked over to him and placed a hand on his. He looked up from the box to look at you. You looked into his eyes for a moment before giggling a little.

"You know," you said. "We've been through a lot. The USJ attack, the attack at the Wild Wild Pussy Cat's place, the fall of All Might, the internships, the Shie Hissakai," you held his hand a little tighter. "I'm grateful for you too. For you being there for me. I mean that, Toko."

Tokoyami's feathers ruffled a bit more before falling again. He looked to the side, trying to play off his embarrassment. He cleared his throat before looking back at you with hesitation.

"That's what friends are for," he said calmly. "We're going to be heroes, right? We might want to treasure what we have so far in order to face what could be ahead." He looked down at your hand before setting the box down.

You watched him curiously, tilting your head. He then looked back at you and took your other hand. He smiled a little and tilted his head to the side. You were confused but then your eyes grew.

"Oh Toko!~" you giggled. You looked above your heads and he followed your gaze. "Look! We're under a mistletoe!" You giggled again then looked down at him. "Did you do that on purpose?"

"W-What? I-I uh-" he nervously looked down at you then back up to the mistletoe. He then turned away and let your hands go. "My apologies! I didn't-"

You kissed his cheek quickly, which shut him up. "No need to apologize," you said. "You're adorable, Toko. I love everything about you, actually. I look up to you." You smiled sheepishly and played with your fingers.

Tokoyami's eyes grew wide. He then looked back at you for a moment. Then he took your hands again. "Kissing me would be quite awkward, I have a beak for a mouth after all. Though, ah..." he glanced to the side.

You smiled softly, feeling a ride to your cheeks. "Don't worry! You don't have to!" You tilted your head a bit, enough to catch Tokoyami's attention. He looked at you then relaxed a little.

"I want to," he said calmly. "I care for you deeply, I hope you know that." He still seemed very nervous though kissed you softly. He had to tilt his head a little to do it, but it was possible.

Dark Shadow and Bright Light took notice of their hosts. They then looked at each other. Bright Light hugged Dark Shadow tight before kissing the opposite quirk.

It was a very merry Christmas.
