Chapter ~3~

"She'll be okay" I hear Daniel say. I turn and smile at him. After a couple minutes we reach the hospital. We get out of the car. I lock it and run inside. "Lydia!" The doctor yells. "Yeah my mom" I say to her. "This way sweetie" she says. I grab Daniels hand and we walk towards her room. "She's resting. She has a fractured finger. She hit her head. But she's fine and she might've twisted her ankle but shes good and will be able to go home once she wakes up" she says.

"Thank you!" I say. I see my mom open her eyes. I walk inside. "Hey mom" I say smiling at her. "How do you feel" I ask her. "Fine. I'm just ready to go home" she says smiling. "Doctor jones" I say. She walks in. "Can we get the papers to go home" I ask her. "Yes" she says. A couple minutes later we get the papers signed and go home. I open the door to the apartments we live In. "I'm good honey. Go back to school" my mom say. "Are you sure" I say. "Yes" she says back. I close the door. "You live here to" Daniel says. "Yeah. Do you" I say to him. "Yeah right there" he says pointing to the door. "Nice" I say smiling. "Cmon Let's go to school" I say to Daniel.

We walk back to the car and get in. I put down the stack and put on the radios as 'the chain' starts to play. I turn and smile at Daniel. After a couple minutes we pull into the parking lot. He grabs his backpack. "You coming" he says. "Yeah just give me a couple minutes" I say to him. I grab my backpack. I put my books inside. I fix up my makeup. I look at myself in the mirror as my eyes water again. I put the stack up again. I shut off the engine walk out and lock the car.

"What class now" he says. I look at him. "It's geography" I say. "Oh me to" he says laughing. I smile at him. "Cmon Let's go" I say to him. "I remember I have geography with Johnny and his friends so I'm sorry if they talk a lot of trash" I say to him. "It's alright" he says smiling. We walk inside. As faces turn to me. I make eye contact with Johnny. "You're late. Very late" the teacher says. "Yeah I uh went to the hospital to pick up my mom" I say to her. "And if that's a problem please let me know" I say sarcastically and take my seat right next to Johnny.

I pull out my notebook and a pencil. "Are you feeling alright" I hear tommy say behind me. I turn around. "Yeah im good" I say to him and turn back around. My heart beat quickens. My phone vibrates in my pocket. A text from my ex boyfriend.

"That car accident your mother was in wasn't a accident"

I start to feel sick. "Oh god" I say getting out of my chair and running out of the classroom to the bathroom. I run into a empty stall and start getting sick. After a couple minutes I flush the toilet. I walk out of the bathroom and my phone starts to ring. I feel tear drop from each eyes stream down my cheek.

"What do you want" I say. "You. I told you. You can't escape me babygirl" he says "don't call me that. Your an asshole" I say to him. "I'm not the one who's boyfriend kissed another girl" he says "how'd you know about that" I say to him. "I have my ways darling" he says. "You. Your the one that did the car accident" I say to him. "Bingo"he says. "I hate you! You make me sick" I say. "At least I'm not the one who's boyfriends cheating on her" he says. I let the tears stream. "Stop calling me" I say hanging up the phone.

"You Alright" I hear Johnny say behind me. I turn around. "I'd be lying if I said I was" I say to him. "Look I am sorry" he says to me. "I know you are Johnny" I say to him. "I'm sorry to. I shouldn't have acted that way" I say to him. I lean against the locker. "You had every right to" he says to me. I look at him. "Out of everyone though it had to be Ali" I say laughing. "She's not a good kisser" he says. I let out a giggle. I let a few tears slip. "That kick you did was hot" he says to me. I smile.

The bell rings. "Cmon Let's go get your stuff" he says and we walk back to class. I put everything back in my backpack. I see the guys pushing Daniel. "Leave me alone man!" Daniel yells. "Leave him alone" I say to them. I grab Daniels hand and start walking away. "I'm sorry about them" I say to him. "Is this what they always do" he says raising his voice at me. I flinch. "I'm sorry" he says. I look at him. "Don't apologize but yes. To those they don't like around me yes" I say to him.

"You see that girl over there" I say pointing to Ali. He turns and looks at her. "Yeah" he says back. "If your gonna fall in love with someone. Make sure it's not Ali" I say to him. He smiles at me. "Yes ma'am" he says. I let out a giggle. I walk to my locker and put my stuff in it except my keys. I shut my locker and help Daniel open his. He puts his stuff in it. "There's a dance next week" Daniel says. I turn and look at the paper on the wall. "Yeah" I say to him. He looks at me smiling.
