Y/N POV

" Ahhhh.... Good morning mr. Sunshine! How are you today?" You ask the sun as it wakes you with warm rays this morning.

It's been 4 years since you left your mansion. You're now 11 years old. For the past 4 years you've been running from place to place, never really feeling at home. That was until you met Miss. Tilly.

She was a very kind middle aged woman who, despite your beaten up look, wild eyes and obviously grief stricken personality, took you in, with no questions asked. At first you were extremely hostile towards her. You'd poke and prod at your food until she took a bite of your meal to show that it wasn't poisoned , and you wouldn't speak at all. But She stayed patient with you, and after constant kindness and her undeniable loving nature, You opened up to her.

"I'm sorry I acted so distant!" You cried into her shoulder, "I shouldn't have treated you that way especially since all you ever did was treat me with kindness. I'm sorry..." At first, she didn't talk for a while and just let you cry. She waited until you had finally calmed down before she started to talk.

"Grief changes people dear..." She said to you, but she seemed somewhere else while saying this. "I was patient with you dear because I know what grief is like, and I knew that eventually you'd come around." She turned her head to look at you and you looked up to her. You sat up properly on your chair.

"I'm sorry, I didn't know you through the same pain..." You said feeling so guilty for not trying to get to know her before head.

"That's because, like you dear, I wasn't ready to share... but now since we're both ready, we can let go of out grief together." She said as she smiled at you reassuringly.

~You had told her your story~

"My Husband and my son," She said as pain filled her eyes and her face fell. "A grave sickness came over our city not too long ago and killed many, including them both."

"I- I'm so sorry..." You say.

She nodded, accepting your sympathy. " It was a curable disease however, it was expensive and it only worked 75% of the time. We could only, afford to pay for one surgery, so my husband gave up his life for our son. So my son, underwent surgery. He would cry to me every night after my husbands passing, how it should've been him and that he would've rather died along with his dad instead of making me use up all of my savings on a "Hopeless case"." She sighed. "Eventually, his wish came true... He, out of the 75% that survived the surgery, wasn't among those luck few. No... he was that 25% that would die after the surgery. So not only did I lose the love of my life and all of my life's savings... I had lost my pride and joy as well... " Miss Tilly began to tremble as you instinctively hug her tightly until she calmed down. You let go of her and her face had a genuine smile on it, as if she hadn't just talked about losing everything. "Then the Lord lead me to you, and now I have someone who's like a daughter to me, to take care of. I was patient with you because you are a blessing to me. As much as you believe it was I who saved you, It was really you who saved me dear." She said as she leaned down to kiss your head like your mom always did.

"Thank you Miss Tilly." You say hugging her tighter.

"No, thank you Y/N." She says hugging you back.
