You and Kurapika began to walk around the area together on one side and Leorio and Gon on the other, to check out your competition. You guys walk in silence for a while, however it wasn't an uncomfortable silence. Though you still couldn't take it, after years of not seeing him, when you finally get to see him, YOU DON'T TALK! You mentally scold yourself.
"I'm sorry again for not visiting like I promised, " Kurapika said, pulling you away from your thoughts. "I really did miss you." He says as he turns to you and smiles, making you blush.
"I-I missed you a lot too." You shudder, "I wanted so much, just hang out like we did way back when."
"So what have you been up to since then?" Kurapika question, continuing to check out our competition.
"Nothing has changed really. I did improve on my baking cause I've been helping Miss. Tilly run the bakery and I've been continuing my training." You answered, "How about you?"
"I've been studying up on many things. There's too much to list, but a little of everything really. I've been mainly focused on the Phantom Troupe though..." He said as his voice trailed off. Then he looked towards you expecting you to interrogate him.
"Don't worry, i wont ask you to say anymore. I know that it's something you're probably not too open to sharing, so i won't push you to elaborate. You can tell me when your ready, but if you don't want to, you don't have to." You said, responding to his stare. "But there's something i should probably tell you..." You i. 'Am I making the right choice, deciding to finally tell him what happened to my parents? You ask yourself. It's Kurapika... I trust him.' You conclude.
You take his hand and walk him over to a part of the tunnel wall, where no one was. "It's about the Phantom troupe. You probably feel like no one out there knows the pain you are going though, but trust me, i do." You say looking up at the ceiling. "I'll start off by saying, my parents were famous blacklist hunters, who just loved taking on challenges and risks. However, the day came when their confident nature would cost them their lives..." Your eyes water a bit, but you held back the tears, 'you've cried enough'. Nevertheless, your glassy eyes did not go unnoticed by Kurapika. He grabs your hand and squeezes it reassuringly. This causes you to blush and smile, and you continue your story with both your hands still interlocked. " They were out of their league, my parents were. They went after the Phantom Troupe, promising me they'd come back, but they couldn't keep that promise..." You say as your shoulders began to shake a little. You turned to Kurapika with desperation in your eyes. "Please, don't pursue the Phantom Troupe! I already lost my parents to them! I can't lose you too! I know this is selfish of me, but I care far too much for you to not at least warn you." You said as tears began to cascade down your face. "Please Kurapika..." With those words, he pulled you into a warm and comforting hug. You lightly cried into his chest as your hands wrapped around his back, and his around your back as one hand rested on your head, pulling you closer to him.
"I'm so sorry about your parents..." Kurapika says, "and I thank you for your concern," He continues as he began to pull away, just a little to meet your eyes. "But I can't just give up on taking out the Phantom Troupe. They stripped my clan of their lives, their futures. They toke away my home, my family, my friends... They even toke Pairo..." He said as he looked away from you. You stared at him in disbelief as your knees buckled and you began to sob, as quietly as you could. "Pairo....Oh no.....Not Pairo...." you whisper in horror.
"I can't just sit back as they get away with that!" Kurapika said firmly, "Like I said, I don't fear death. And I don't want you to worry yourself over my well being." he said to you.
"How can I not?! You're one of my closest friends, I can't just, not worry about you!" You say as you come up with an idea. "I did what iI had to, i warned you," You say clearing your throat, "but as a friend I'll respect your decisions, but please, you don't have to do this alone, I'm here to help!"
"No." Kurapika says bluntly, "You don't need to get involved with such matters, it's too dangerous."
"Don't get involved?! Kurapika THEY MURDERED MY PARENTS!" You say in a hushed but firm tone. "I'm going to help you face the Phantom troupe, but not in order to get revenge. I already lost my parents to them, and I'm going to make sure not to lose you too."
Kurapika stares at you dumbfounded, he looks at you straight in the eye as he pondered on what to do. Finally he decided, "Alright, I doubt I could convince to do otherwise and I'm in no position to say no and tell you not to do something that could result in your death. Fine... you can help me with my hunt for the Phantom Troupe, and my clan's eyes.
"Thank you!" You nod as you hug him.
Suddenly someone behind you says, "Yo, who's the blonde?" a familiar voice said. You quickly turn around only to be greeted by his signature snowy white hair and beautiful blue eyes.
"K-Killua!" You shout.
