      Your P.O.V

You and Kurapika approach the other two sitting by the river still hand in hand. Gon was fishing with his fishing rod while Leorio was sitting under a tall tree watching him until the two of you caught his eye. His eyes widened when they trailed to your interlocked hands and a smirk grew on his face. You didn't notice his smirk until he was standing right in front of you.

"Finally accept Kurapika's proclamation  of LOVE?" He says as he goes to pat Kurapika's back. "It took you a lot of time to hike up the balls to tell her, but at least it all ended up worthwhile in the end!" He proceeds to give Kurapika a nuggie.

Kurapika's hand instantly fly to his head to swat Leorio's hand away and yells, "Stop! I don't need your hands messing up the hair I spend hours to maintain!" You all stare at him with shocked expressions as he looks in the water to fix his hair.

"You spend hours to maintain your hair? I thought it was something at just happened naturally! Like Gon's!" You say.

"No it does not, every morning I must fix it." He says plainly. You stare at him still shocked and he continues, "Anyways, we need to think of a way we can get past the apprentice butler."

"Well we beat her in numbers." Leorio says, "I say we just take her on all at once."

"We may have the numbers, but she probably surpasses us in skill." Kurapika says.

"Also, " You add, "the story about her taking on all those armored men isn't a lie. Clearly the whole outnumbered thing won't work on her. Plus, she's my childhood friend, at least I think she is. Before I was able to beat her in our practice fights but, I don't think I'd be able to fight her seriously now. We don't even know how powerful she really is."

"If we go in assuming we can beat her without a strategy, would be suicide. She'd kill us on the spot." Kurapika says bluntly, making you flinch at the thought of your childhood friend killing your other friends.

"I don't know about that." Gon joins.

"What do you mean Gon?" Kurapika asks.

"I just don't think she'd kill us." Gon says. "She clearly could, but when she hit me, she held back. I think if she was going to kill us, she would've when she had the chance."

" Gon, she could've just not wanted to kill unnecessarily. It might not be the same next time. She could kill us." Leorio says.

"Okay stop!" You shout, officially getting sick and tired of this talk of your childhood friend killing, "I know Canary! She's not a heartless killing machine like you are all making her out to be! Gon's right, she won't kill us! If I could just talk to h-"

"No." Kurapika interrupts, he voice dead serious, "there is no way I would let you take a risk like that."

"Kurapika, I know my friend, she wouldn't kill me! No matter how much she may have changed, she couldn't have changed so much that she would kill me!" You retort.

"You don't know that!" He shouts back.

"Why can't you trust me?!" You scream at him on the verge of tears.

Kurapika takes a deep breath to calm down and looks you right in the eyes, "Because I don't want to see you get hurt anymore."

You sigh deeply as well and approach him. You place your hand on his shoulder and say, "Then trust me when I say that she won't hurt me, at least not seriously." He looks down and laughs a forced laugh. You move your hand up to his cheek and continue, "But hey, I'll be fine. I trust my childhood friend, and I need you to trust me. Please, let me try talking to her."
