Tommy has had enough, he had fought so hard and yet he was left with nothing. The blonde didn't quite remember how he ended up in the nether staring at the lava but somehow he was there.

It was warm in the nether, it felt almost like a hug. The young boy found l comfort in staring at the pools of lava even though if he were to look up, spots would cover his vision.

On the other side of the portal a man with pink hair and piercing red eyes was calling Tommy's name in a desperate attempt to find his brother.

HE'S IN THE NETHER!

My train of thought was interrupted by the voices as usual, but this time their interruption was useful.

Tommy had indeed told me about how he often found himself on the bridge about lava in the nether. This can't be good, I thought as I ran through the portal made from obsidian.

As I emerged into the hellish landscape I saw my younger brother standing on the edge of the bridge staring into the fire pits of lava. A rush of anxiety entered my system as I ran towards him, You need to save him!

The voices in my head always seemed to have a soft spot towards Tommy. The hot air brushed against my cheeks as I stopped once I reached my brother, his eyes were a dule blue, almost grey as he stared at the burning pits.

"Tommy what are you doing?"

"Tommy what are you doing?" My head snapped in the direction of where I heard the voice, there stood Techno, His eyes were wide and his chest was rising and falling from uneven breaths as he stared at me.

He looked like he was on the verge of a panic attack, it made me feel a bit guilty as I was probably the reason. I had disappeared in the middle of the night and when he found me I was staring at lava.

I chuckled dryly before locking eyes with my older brother "I don't really know to be quite honest" I said as I shrugged my shoulders. I saw him look at the edge of the bridge that I was standing close to.

"Well then how about we go back to the house? I'll even help you build your stupid cobblestone tower." His voice was shaky as he tried to distract me, unfortunately it wasn't enough.

I replied while shaking my head "although it's a tempting offer I'll have to pass. My time has run out," my voice shook as I felt a few tears run down my cheeks.

Techno had tears spilling out of his eyes as he shook his head, he reached an arm out towards me. I could clearly see he was shaking, he was about to lose his other brother.

"Hey-uh how about we talk about this, okay? You still have so much time!" He was struggling to talk me off the edge but his words couldn't seem to reach me.

"Have you heard the story of Icarus?" I questioned, tilting my head to the side.

Techno nodded "yes he flew too close to the sun and the wax that held his wings together melted. He fell into the ocean and died."

I smiled, he always was a nerd for greek mythology "correct but people always leave a part of the story out. You see as he fell he threw his head back and laughed. He wasn't afraid Techno, he smiled in the face of death. That's what I'll do, I'lI laugh as I fall through the air. I'm not scared brother, I've seen so much in my lifetime that the face of death is a comforting sight."

Tears were freely flowing down both of our faces "I'm so tired Tech, I think it's time I'm finally laid to rest" I could see understanding in my older brother's eyes.

"Tell Dad I'm sorry"

After I said that I stepped off the bridge, time slowed down as I fell. I threw my head back and smiled, this is freedom. I didn't even feel my body meet the lava until I sank, it didn't burn. No instead it felt like I was being hugged, I wish I could've felt this way a long time ago.

I didn't want to be Theasus so I'll be Icarus instead
