*totally not crying because of this photo*
All the laughing was soon interrupted by a baby wailing. Mark and Haechan gave exchanged looks and sped walked into the living room. There Min-ji was, sitting on her knees with tears streaming down her cheeks. She noticed both boys rushing into the living room and lifted her arms up, making grabby hands at Mark. Mark hoisted her up and rubbed her back.
"Nena, what's wrong?" He gently said, afraid to make her cry even more. Min-ji's cry turned into little whimpers as she snuggled her head on Mark's neck. Haechan rubbed her back as well. "It's okay Min-ji. We're right here," Haechan softly said. Min-ji stayed like that for a few minutes until she pulled herself away to look at Mark. "What is it, Nena?" Mark asked his baby girl. Min-ji looked down and started playing with the collar of Mark's shirt. "...potty.." Min-ji silently spoke, although that wasn't reason why she was crying. "Do you have to go potty, Min-ji?" Haechan asked her and the baby slowly nodded. Why is she afraid to speak what's on her mind? Why is she afraid to ask for something she needs? Questions with unexplainable answers were running through both of their minds.
"Okay, let's go potty, hm?" Mark gave her a smile and walked to the bathroom. Haechan waited on the couch while Mark was helping Min-ji in the restroom. After she finished, Mark helped her wash and dry her hands. Mark came out the bathroom with his baby in his arms. "We're going to go out, Min-ji," Mark told her softly and the baby's eyes started becoming glossy. "..y-you leave?" Min-ji asked. "Yeah, we're going to the store. Don't worry," Mark gently said, not really understanding what was happening and the round, hazelnut eyes of his baby started spilling tears. "N-no go...no g-go," Min-ji let out a cry and that's when Mark realized.
"Oh, no no Nena. We're not leaving you, you're coming with us," Mark tried to reassure his baby and Haechan stood up from the couch. "Min-ji we're going to take a trip together and have fun!" Haechan tried to change the baby's mood with his cheerfulness. It seemed to work as the baby stopped crying and nodded her head. Mark set his baby down on the couch and slipped on his sneakers, along with Haechan. Mark grabbed his phone, wallet, and car keys while Haechan did the same. Mark looked at the baby's feet. Min-ji was only wearing white socks. "She doesn't have any sneakers?" Haechan asked and tried to look around the living room area. Mark shook his head. He didn't remember the baby wearing any shoes, only socks. Mark sighed and rubbed his temples "Karina's really done it," he mumbled.
Haechan walked over to the older and placed his hand on his shoulder. "Don't think about her. What's important now is that Min-ji is with you and no longer with her. Don't stress yourself, okay?" Haechan rubbed his shoulder. "Come on! Let's go to the mall!" Haechan smiled which caused Mark to smile as well. Haechan sure is the mood maker. He knows how to cheer someone up when they're feeling down or upset and Mark is so thankful for him. "Are you ready, Min-ji?" Haechan asked her eagerly and the baby just stared at him. Haechan giggled and Mark went to carry his baby, but Min-ji flinched once again. Mark frowned, but spoke softly "I'm sorry. Can I carry you, Min-ji?" The baby raised her arms and Mark carried her.
They walked out the door and locked it behind themselves. Mark unlocked his car door and opened the passager side for the younger causing a tint of pink forming on his cheeks. "Thank you," Haechan blushed. Mark smiled and looked at Min-ji. "Can I place you in channie's lap?" Mark asked his baby and Min-ji turned her head to look down at the younger, making grabbing hands. Haechan internally squealed as Mark placed her on his lap. Mark made his way to the drivers seat and both of them buckled up.
They arrived at the mall, which had multiple stores inside. Haechan carried the baby as both of them walked in. "Where should I start?" Mark asked the younger. He's not quite sure what to buy for a baby. "Well for starters, how about we start with the essentials, like clothes, pull ups, baby food, you know all that good stuff," Haechan stated.
"Are you planning on making the spare room in your apartment for Min-ji?" Haechan asked his best friend. Mark nodded, "Yeah, I want to make it perfect for her. She deserves everything," Haechan smiled lovingly at Mark and the older blushed. "How about this, we can buy her essential needs now and come back later for some furniture?" Mark agreed with the younger. "If you don't have enough money, you can use my credit card," Haechan said as he walked into a clothing store. Mark quickly followed behind, "No, I wouldn't use your money. Besides, my job pays well," Mark assured the younger. "I don't care. If you need money, I'll lend it to you," Haechan said and quickly changed the topic. "Oh my goodness! Look at these cute clothes!" Mark playfully rolled his eyes.
"How do you read the size on this thing?" Mark struggled, trying to look for the size of the denim blue skirt that had flowers on it. Haechan lightly hit the back of the older's head, making the older wince. "Right here, you dummy!" Haechan pointed out the tag and Mark made an "O" shape with his lips as he rubbed the back of his head. "I didn't know!" Mark whinned, causing Haechan to laugh.

Both boys were hungry and it was already past three. They walked to the food court with the baby in Haechan's arms. They found a table and sat down. "I'll order for us," Mark said and the younger was about to decline, but Mark set the bags down and walked away.
Mark came back with a tray of sandwiches and drinks. He placed the tray down on the table and passed Haechan his sandwich and soda. The younger thanked him. Mark grabbed a high chair and pulled it towards their table. Haechan stood up and sat Min-ji on the high chair. "Min-ji, daddy has a sandwich for you!" Mark smiled at his baby and Min-ji just looked down. Mark unwrapped the plastic foil that was around her sandwich and cut into small bite sized peices for her. He grabbed her juice box and poked the starw through and handed it to her. Min-ji hesitantly grabbed the juice box from the older's grasp and looked at Mark. "Go ahead, Min-ji. You can take a sip," Mark assured the baby and Min-ji did just that. Mark smiled at her and pulled her closer to the table so that she can reach her lunch. "Eat if you're hungry, Min-ji. It's okay."
After lunch - Min-ji ate a little bit and Mark and Haechan were proud - they walked back to the car. Mark was carrying the bags, while Haechan was carrying Min-ji. Mark put the bags in the car. He was happy that he was able to buy things his baby needed. They bought her clothes, a few pairs of shoes, pull ups, baby food, and other things she needs.
They arrived back at Mark's apartment and Mark left Haechan and the baby in the car, while he quickly puts the bags inside. He hurried back inside the car and looked over at Min-ji, who was asleep in Haechan's honey arms. "How about we go to the park and buy the rest of her things another time?" Mark suggested and Haechan nodded. "Okay, my cousin is visiting tomorrow and is leaving around six in the evening. We can go together afterwards if you want," he smiled. "Sounds like a plan then," Mark said and drove to the park.
