Vol 2. No Longer Strangers. #2

As promised Amy went out for a drink with Levy, but instead of going to the guild, they went to a bistro to get coffee. Levy seems a lot less enthusiastic than last night. Maybe something happened with Jett or Droy..
"You sure are quiet Levy, anything wrong?" Amy asks. Levy looks up from her drink, she tries to smile.
"Yeah, I'm fine. I just didn't get much sleep." Amy starts to feel guilty. She prays no one heard her scream while waking up from her bad dream.

"The guys and I went a little over board, drinking last night." She starts explaining. "We had a great time, really. I just drank a little more than usual." She blushes. Why would she blush? "And I found out something so embarrassing.." She covers her face as her blush turns into a glow as red as a tomato. Amy takes a sip of her coffee and looks at Levy, who is busy gathering all her courage to continue her story. She starts to speak quietly.
"I'm not sure if you have met Gajeel already?" Amy's expression changes from curious to confused.
"Well, not exactly.. I know who he is though.. The Iron Dragon Slayer from Phantom Lord.. He's the reason we have a new guild building too.." Amy answers.. She missed a lot of happenings and events over the past three years.
"Yeah, well, I think I'm starting to like him.." She speaks quietly.

For a brief moment time seems to stand still. A spark of jealousy strikes Amy, but why? She has only seen him briefly one or two times and never even spoke to him..
"But.. didn't he, like.. crucify you guys a few months ago?" Amy asks, curious yet anxious about the rest of the story.
"Yeah. But he has also shown great promise, in his own way. He protects the guild now, just like the rest of us.." Levy explains the whole story about Laxus trying to take over Fairy Tail.
"Gajeel really seems to care about us sometimes." She adds, but her voice is trembling a little. It almost sounds like Levy is bummed that she haven't made a move on him already.
"Kyaa, I am so embarrassed!"

Amy smiles. She seems both relieved and disappointed, but still she smiles genuinely at Levy. "Well, he is a very good looking man.. I can see why one could develop feelings for him." Amy means well, she does not want to be jealous of the fact that others have fallen for him as well. She has only seen him briefly a few times as she was returning to pick a new job. Even so, he has no idea how badly Amy was falling for him already..

After spending about two hours listening to all the sweet gossip Levy wanted to share, Amy believes it's time to go shopping. After all, new clothes is what she really needed because damn, are her clothes worn out.. They went separate ways after they paid the bistro owner. Shopping is one of many things Amy likes to do alone, other than going out on jobs. She has her face covered with the hood of her cloak. There is no way she wants to be social at the moment. She is still processing the fact that Levy might has a crush on Gajeel, and whether or not he has a crush on Levy too.. Oh yeah, Amy's got it bad! A swarm of butterflies in her stomach makes her feel very uncomfortable. She has never felt anything like this.
'Oh my gosh.. What is the matter with me?!' There is no way she can focus on shopping any further like this. So she pays the shop keeper for the clothes she picked and heads back home. To save herself from any awkward encounter, she uses her moon dust on herself.. She is in no mood to speak to anyone right now..
