The next day Amy decided to try and decipher some of the spells she received from Moby a while back. Amy is convinced this isn't just a one day job.. She also managed to borrow a few books from Levy without her knowing what it is Amy needs them for.
Her new Gale-force reading glasses are a great tool to get through those books faster than usual. The spells on the other hand are more of a challenge.. It appears to be written in an ancient language.
The new rune writing pen she bought in Era a while back isn't going to help her.. She quickly casts that thought away.
"Shit.. How am I going to figure this out?" Amy speaks to herself. Amy now considers the possibility that there must be something helpful back at Moby's house. He must have been able to read this, otherwise he wouldn't have left it in his basement for her to find.

As she tries to connect the dots, another thought comes to mind. The great library of Era. She must be able to find some clues there! Amy than decided to go back to Levy and ask her about the library, she has been there over a hundred times!
Amy quickly packs some essentials into her bag. After that she stepped into her boots and grabbed her cloak. Determined she walks up to Levy's room but as she wants to knock at the door, she freezes.

"I don't know, Lu-chan.. He gives me the creeps and butterflies at the same time.." She hears Levy speak.
"Just don't forget what he's capable off.. I know he's part of Fairy Tail now but I don't really trust him yet.." Lucy replies to Levy.
"Maybe you're right. It could be the nerves talking."
"Gajeel sure has a long way to go.. I mean, he's not making it easy with his behaviour!" Lucy adds to her statement.
"He's a big jerk most of the times. How can you build a bond with someone like that?" Lucy sounds quite serious, worried almost.
"I do hope he doesn't have bad intentions with Amy though.." Levy admits. Amy can hear her voice tremble a little.
"Amy is very strong for her age, isn't she?" Lucy asks. "I think she can handle him."
"Yeah, she's still recovering from deficiency though, from when she took down this beast Gajeel couldn't handle on his own. I think she's much tougher than she realises, but she's never around to take the S-Class Trial.."

Amy stopped listening, or eavesdropping actually. She walked out of the dorm instead and headed straight for the train station. Whilst walking she cannot help but to repeat their words in her mind. Apparently the other members are not convinced yet about Gajeel joining Fairy Tail.. And the girls seem to believe that Amy is a lot stronger than she appears to be. Amy even begins to question herself why she indeed never took the opportunity to compete in the S-Class Trial..
And if Gajeel was to have any bad intentions with her, she would have known, right?
But Amy does agree on one thing, his behaviour definitely does not make it easy.

Before she knows it, she arrived at the train station. She pays for a two way ticket to Era, checks in with one of the conductors and takes a seat in an almost empty compartment.
Amy takes a deep breath.
'Maybe I should stay a little more in touch with someone when I'm out on jobs.' She thinks to herself. This could come in handy, especially if she ever wishes to become a genuine S-Class mage. Amy is nowhere near up to date about the trial and when the next trial will happen.
'I need to become stronger.. More fit if I want to be picked for the trial..' She thinks as she is observing herself. Amy feels like she barely fits in her own skin. She wouldn't be surprised if she has the smallest size compared to all the other girls.. Most girls even have huge racks and round hips.. 'I feel like a fucking stick figure now.. Thanks, me..'
