Vol 3. Promises. #1

Year x784, November 18th.

It's been two weeks since Gajeel and Pantherlily received a helping hand from Amy at Phoenix Mountain. Thanks to Wendy's healing magic, they recovered a lot faster than usual. Although Amy still has some recovery to do. Gajeel decided to take jobs that are less risky for now and accepted a simple slaying job nearby.

Amy, on the other hand, took the opportunity to go out of town. She still needs to get some new clothes. She took a train to Era early in the morning. On her way, which takes about an hour by train, she had her sketchbook out an decided to draw the beast Gajeel and she faced.

~ A few hours later ~

Amy sighs.
"What to do? I came all this way.." It's just after 2p.m. and all she managed to find were two new cloaks, a skirt and a hooded sweater.. She sits down at this giant pond in town and just stares at the water. Ducks and ducklings are swimming in the pond. 'So cute.' She smiles.

"Amy-chan!" Amy hears from behind her. As she turns around she sees Levy, running towards her.
"Oh, Levy! What are you doing here in Era?" Amy stands up from the edge of the pond.
"I was just shopping with Jet and Droy, but we couldn't find what we were looking for. I sent them home because I wanted to go to the library and now I ran into you."
'Damn, if I don't mind my words she could be talking my ears off.' Amy keeps forgetting how much Levy can talk so she gives her a smile instead.
"I heard you and Gajeel had some alone time in the mountains by the way." Suddenly Levy grins as if she suspects something romantic happened between Amy and Gajeel. Amy needs a second, realising she didn't have the chance to tell her about it..
"EH! Where did you hear that! I was just helping him out defeating this crazy strong monster!" Amy's face turns red as she tries explain what happened.
"Hahaha," Levy starts to laughing.
"Easy, easy. I was kidding. I'm glad you two are safe anyway. Same goes for Lily." As soon as Levy is done talking she sees Amy pouting, crouched down near the pond.
"Stupid Levy."

Levy and Amy go separate ways a little later. Levy heads back for Magnolia and Amy stays in Era a little longer. She always wanted to visit the magic stores here too. If she wants to learn more spells, she might as well try every magic store she can find. Almost all of her spells are learned from books, but given the fact that she can read, write and re-write runes means she could use a new rune writing pen too. She knows that Levy and Freed bought theirs in Era as well.

After another hour she manages to find a magic store and enters. The place is crowded! Young wizards, seniors, travelers.. Amy walked up to the counter and an older woman rushes to her aid.
"Welcome, welcome! How can we help you today?" The woman smiles bright at Amy.
"Uhm, do you sell rune writing pens?"
"Of course we do!" The woman opens a drawer behind the counter and pulls out a tray full of different rune pens.
"These are our speciality pens for rune writing. See anything you like?" Amy points out to one of the pens, it is purple with a little picture of the moon and stars.
"Ooh, this one, miss? That's a great choice, it matches your hair too!" The shopkeeper takes it out of the tray.
"These pens can be used for every type of rune writing and re-writing and only costs 500.000 Jewels!"
'500.000 Jewels! That's expensive..'

"I'll take it."
"Great! And as a special offer we will add matching gale-force reading glasses to your purchase! For free of course. Anything else for you miss?" Amy is unsure to ask for spell books for Celestial magic, Astronomic Magic or Heavenly Body magic, mostly because this place is so crowded, she doesn't want to draw any attention to herself.
"No, just the pen, please."
