He sighs deeply.
"What's with your mood?". Zafar asked sitting on the couch handing him a drink
"Nothing". He said sighing again
"Definitely Laila. What?. She didn't speak to you?. Didn't give you attention?". Akbar asked shaking his head
"Is that why he is sulking like a baby?". Usman asked looking away from his phone
"I think I liked you better when your mouth was shut". He said irritated looking at the wall and sighing
"Whatever". Usman said rolling his eyes
"So, what is it?". Zafar asked curiously
"She said she hates me. Why?. I didn't even do anything". He said irritated because he has been thinking about it for days now
"And that's new?". Akbar asked raising his eyebrows, "My wife hated me".
"My wife hated me too". Zafar added
"So did mine". Usman said joining in
"They all love us now". Akbar said grinning
"I don't know about her". He said sighing looking at the drink in his hand
"Just go and do something instead of sitting here". Akbar said rolling his eyes, "I married my wife after she said she hates me".
"He married me when we hated each other". Zafar said pointing to Akbar
They all turn to Usman who looks away from his phone, "Uh, I was already married".
"Are you suggesting I get married to her just so she doesn't hate me?. I am not made for a marriage". He said falling on the couch
"Don't marry her". Akbar said shrugging, "Heard at work that the Shahmeer guy is going to marry her anyway".
He sits upstairs in a split second, "What the-- who said that?. Who is this man that I never seem to find?".
"He works for you". Zafar said shaking his head, "He had been working for a long time".
"He does?". He asked confused, "I never heard his name".
Akbar phone rings and he answer it before the next ring. Akbar stands from the couch looking at them worriedly.
"Zakirah is in hospital".
That's all he needed to say before they all were running towards their car driving to the hospital she was taken in.
He enters inside following the other as they reached a devastated Zainab who runs to Akbar's arms as soon as she finds him.
"What happened?". Akbar asked looking at Inaya for some explanation before he loses his mind
"We were all gathered at your place when Zainab said that Zakirah face was losing colour. We thought it must be fever but she didn't have any so we rushed her to hospital and they took her in an emergency". Inaya explained as her voice shakes a little and Zafar wrapped his arms around her
"I will go look into more". Usman said walking away while they all waited for some information about her well being
"What about Anabia?". Awais asked confused when he didn't find her
"Anabia and Laila are with the kids". Zainab said wiping her tears as she looks at Akbar, "She will be fine, right?".
"She should be". Akbar said caressing her cheeks as he looks at Awais, "They need to eat and drink something. There is a canteen--".
