The next day was really stressful. Draco and I spent every waking moment up in the Room of Requirement. We sent birds through the cabinet. Everything was going fine until the bird ended up dead. We can't have that, or the death eaters aren't going to make it through. As usual I slept with Draco in his dorm. I just can't seem to sleep as well without him. He makes me feel safe.

I woke up and found myself making my way to the Gryffindor table. I noticed that Hermione, Ron, Harry and Ginny were not there.

"Hey Seamus, where is everyone?" I asked.

"Ron was poisoned; he's in the Hospital Wing with the others. Ron and Harry went to go take care of a very powerful love potion someone set on Ron and once they were done, I guess they celebrated with some mead that Slughorn had with him." He informs me. I gulp at this. I rush over to the Slytherin table where Draco is sitting next to Blaise.

"Draco, I need to talk to you." I demand.

"Alright." He gets up and we walk out of the Great Hall and into an empty corridor.

"What is it?" He asks.

"Ron's been poisoned." I whispered. I see his eyes turn from worry to fear.

"We've got to fix the cabinet, and fast. I think Harry's on to us, well more you than me. During Christmas, I was talking to him and Professor Lupin. He overheard your talk with Snape after Slughorn's party, so did I." I tell him.

"I don't have any other choice do I?" He said. I shake my head as an answer. I can feel the stress radiating from his body.

"Let's get going." He said and dragged me along with him. We walked up the spiral staircase and collected the bird from its cage. We walked in front of the bare wall. Draco slowly closed his eyes and thought of what he wanted. I watched as the door appeared and we both went inside. Draco placed the bird inside and closed the door. A small sound came from it and he opened it once again. The bird was gone. He closed the door again. We waited for a few seconds, and then the small noise came again. He opened it with a shaky breath. His face dropped.

"Well?" I asked. He didn't say anything but turned his back on the cabinet. I walked over to the open door and perched inside was a dead bird.

"Draco..." I whispered, but he was already crying. I pulled him in for a tight hug. I was now crying. Why did everything have to turn out this way?

The next day was boring as per usual. I walked into the Great Hall alone today. Draco had to stay behind to talk to Snape. I took a seat near Blaise. I watched the doors for Draco and when he wasn't there, I looked around the room only to see that Katie Bell was out of the hospital. Harry got up and started talking to her and that's when Draco walked in. Harry turned around and stared back at Draco who was staring at them. I knew something was wrong when Draco turned right back around and headed out of the Great Hall. Naturally I followed him. He walked straight into the boys' lavatories, but I didn't care. I heard crying and knew I had to go in.

"Draco?" I called out. I walked up to him and rubbed his back. He was leaning on the sink with the water running. He then bolted straight up and embraced me with a hug.

"I don't know what I'm going to do." He stuttered.

"It's alright. I'm here for you, so is Snape. We'll get through this alright?" I whispered and pulled away from him.

"I know what you did Malfoy, you hexed her didn't you." Harry came into view making Draco's face turn to hatred. He got his wand and threw a spell straight at Harry. Harry returned one and sent it flying towards him exploding the sink. Draco jumped out of the way tackling me to the ground. Draco hit behind the stalls and threw another spell towards Harry.

Draco was towards the sinks and Harry was in the back of the bathroom by the exit. Draco leaned down under the stalls and another spell was hurtling its way towards Harry. Draco got up off of the ground and went around the stalls to Harry.

"Sectumsempra!" Harry screamed. It hit Draco square in the chest and he fell backwards. I was breathing heavily, but when I saw Draco on the flooded floor, I felt like dying. The bloody ran out of Draco's body so quickly, all the color drained out of his face. I felt a tear escape my eye. I ran towards him and bent down on my knees. I started sobbing as I heard him whimper in pain. I put my shaky hand on his face to try and comfort him. I examined his body which was covered in blood. I gently touched his chest with my hand.

"Draco...you're gonna be fine. You're alright...it's ok." I said to him. "You're okay......I love you." I whispered. Draco was going to die. I didn't even notice Snape come in. I watched at he muttered a spell and all Draco's blood came back into his body.

I don't know how, but I ended up on chair next to Draco's hospital bed in the Hospital wing. I tightly held his hand in mine, waiting for him to wake up.

"Deary I think it's time that you leave Mr. Malfoy and-"

"No." I interrupted. "I'm not leaving him."

"I really think it would be best-"

"I said no." I stated angrily. I stared at his pale face. I brushed some of his hair out of his face. He started to stir and finally he opened his eyes.

"Draco....how are you feeling?" I asked him softly.

"I feel fine." He hoarsely said. He stirred around once more, his face trying to hide the pain. "Scratch that. I feel like I have an elephant sitting on my chest."

"Madame Pomfrey!" I yelled getting up from my chair. She came rushing into view.

"Yes dear?" she asked. "Oh, I see you're up Mr. Malfoy."

"He needs something for the pain." I tell her. She retracts something from her apron.

"Alright." She pours something into a goblet. "Sit up slowly and drink this."

Draco gets up slowly, sneering in pain. He takes the goblet and instantly his pale face shows a little pit of color, not a lot though.

"Feel any better?" I asked with a little hope in my voice.

"Yes, actually. I don't feel anything at all." He smiled weakly, his eyes drifting off.

"Well, Mr. Malfoy needs some rest, so you head back to your dorm Miss Thyme and-"Madame Pomfrey started saying.

"She'll stay here." Draco interrupted.

"You really need to-"

"I won't be able to get any rest without her, she stays." He argued. Her being defeated, she walks away. I slip under the covers with Draco and cuddle up to him.

"It's tonight." He whispers. I gulp and squeeze his hand a little bit tighter.

"Is it finished?" I asked.

"Yes." He concludes. We drift off to sleep, but we only have a few hours to, because soon, death eaters will pour into the school. I try to remember all the great memories I've had before all of this happened. It makes me sad that it all comes down to this.
