Draco and I walked back up to the castle, catching Ron and Hermione no the way. We stopped in our tracks and I looked in Hermione's eyes. "You saw him go?" I asked. She nodded and came to hug me. We cried with each other. I realized after a couple of minutes that Ron and Draco were in awkward positions. I pulled away and inched back to Draco.

"I heard the news." Hermione sniffed. "Congrats." she put on her best smile. She looked at Ron with wide eyes.

"Oh, yeah, congrats." He mumbled.

"Thanks guys." I smiled back weakly.

"So, you better be treating her right, or else I'll have to kick your-"

"Ron!" Hermione stopped him. "That's rude."

"No, no, it's alright. I understand." Draco said.

"Good, because she's like a sister to me and I would really hate-" I ran up to him and hugged him tightly.

"Thank you Ron." I paused. "Let's go back inside." They all agreed and we silently walked back inside. Everybody was just relaxing, cleaning up wounds, and saying goodbye to loved ones. Right as I stepped in the Great Hall, I was tackled with multiple hugs.

"We're glad to see you alive!" I didn't doubt that Irish accent.

"Yeah, we had been trying to find you, but we didn't see you in here, so we thought you might have gone with the 'other forces'." Dean said. Seamus looked at Draco and suddenly hugged him?

"Thanks for taking care of her." he said to Draco.

"Yeah, no problem." he replied awkwardly.

"If you didn't, we'd have a serious problem, mate." Dean added.

"Yeah, congrats by the way, but." Seamus turned to Draco. "If you do anything to her, I'll kick your arse, just a warning."

"I've been having a lot of those threats lately. By now, a whole army has probably set up a plan to 'kick my arse'." Dean and Seamus laughed.

"You're not as bad as you seem, Malfoy. Take care, Nyx, Malfoy." Seamus smiled and ran off with Dean.

"I think they're warming up to you." I told Draco.

"Yeah, well hopefully not too much." He muttered and I elbowed his ribs.

"Ow." he chuckled.

We waited and waited for any news. It was light now, early morning I suppose. We'd all had some time to rest. I sat outside the steps with Draco, Charlie and George. When I looked I George I almost cried. Fred was gone, not coming back. I decided to hold back my tears. It would probably be best for George's sake.

I lay my head on Draco's shoulder while he played with my hands. "Draco?" I chirped.

"Hmm?"

"Don't you think we should've waited to exchange vows?" I questioned.

"What do you mean?" he looked me in the eyes.

"I mean, wouldn't your parents have wanted to be there?" he sighed.

"Maybe, more my mother than my father, but I just wanted to be married before...." he struggled with his words. "Before something bad happens." he whispered.

"Draco nothing bad is going to happen to us." I assured.

"Yes, well we don't know that for sure do we, until it does." I sighed and rested my head back on his shoulder, looking far out onto the bridge, where I saw spots of black. I watched as Neville stood up from the ground and slowly walked across the bricks. I noticed that it wasn't just me who saw it. The death eaters were approaching the castle. Draco slowly stood up, pulling me with him. He dragged me behind the rest of the crowd who was watching carefully as well.

"Harry Potter....is DEAD!" Voldemort shouted.

"NOOOO!!!" Ginny screamed.

"Silence!" Voldemort yelled. "Stupid girl, Harry Potter is dead. From this day forth, you put your faith in me." he commanded. All of our faces lost color. "HARRY POTTER IS DEAD!" Voldemort chanted and the death eaters cackled, except for Narcissa and Lucius. "And now is the time to declare yourself. Come forward and join us....or die." he called out.

"Draco." Lucius's raspy voice called. I saw many faces turn towards him. "Draco." Lucius struggled.

"Draco, come." his mother tried too. His grip on my hand tightened. I could tell he was fighting. I turned to face him.

"Draco go." I told him.

"What?" he looked at me like I was mental.

"They're your parents. You have to go." I stated.

"I'm staying here with you." he said.

"No. Draco, go." he didn't budge. "Please, for me?" I pleaded. I could visually see his bottom lip tremble, trying to fight back tears. He leaned down and kissed me, a peck, but his lips stayed on mine for a few seconds.

"I love you." he whispered hoarsely.

"I love you too, now go." I ushered. He pecked me on the lips one last time and made his way down the steps. I put my hand over my mouth so nobody could hear me crying.

"Ahh well done, Draco!" Voldemort cheered, giving him and awkward hug. Draco continued to his parents. I saw Neville walked limply forward. "Well, I was certainly hoping for better." the death eaters laughed loudly.  "And who might you be young man?"

"Neville Longbottom." he stated. You could hear Bellatrix's laugh out of the rest of them.

"Well Neville I'm sure we can find a place for you in our ranks." Voldemort smiled.

"I have something to say."Neville said.

"Well Neville I'm sure we'd all be fascinated to hear what you have to say." he stared at Neville intensely.

"It doens't matter that Harry's gone."

"Stand down Neville." Seamus told him.

"People die everyday." he turned around and looked at Seamus. "Friends, family. Yeah, we lost Harry tonight, but he's still with us. In here." he touched his heart. "We lost Fred, Remus and Tonks, all of them. They didn't die in vain." he turned back to Voldemort. "But you will, cause you're wrong! Harry's heart did beat for us, for all of us!" he pulled out a sword from the sorting hat. The Sword of Gryffindor, I thought. Suddenly, Harry jumped out of Hagrid's arms and landed on the ground. Voldemort's face was priceless.

I looked around and smiled as he shot spells towards Voldemort. He ran and tried to escape him. There was a lot of chaos. I ran past everyone in search for Draco.

"Draco!" I yelled his name and he immediately turned around.

"Nyx!" he tried to break free from his mother's grip.

"Ahh, Anyxus!" I was stopped by his icy voice. He looked straight at me. "Care to explain your betrayal?" he snapped.

"I've never been on your side, and I never will." I sneered.

"I think you'll find that you're right. You'll be dead by then." he laughed and I was taken forcefully by a death eater from behind. "Kill her." he ordered.

"NOOO, NYX!" I heard Draco scream. The death eater pushed me to the ground and I hit my head. I felt the blood seep through my hair and my head felt dizzy. He pinned both of my arms to the floor with his knees and he held onto my throat with his hand. He brought his wand out with the other and slowly and gently caressed my face with it.

"Any last words missy?" he grinned creepily. I didn't say anything, just spit in his face. "AVADA KEDAVRA!" He shouted and the next thing I knew, was all darkness.
